3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 mathieuc (284) - Québec, Quebec, - FEB 11, 2013Aroma of malt covered by fruity notes and pine needles. The concoction itself is golden with a slight haze and a nice and persistent head. Carbonation level is nice, just right I’d say. Taste is medium bitter with a good supporting malt backbone, I’m starting to think that this bottle might be just a touch too old (it was unbalanced toward hops last time I’ve had it if my memories are right). Flavors are somewhat belgian, yeasty/estery but with floral/herbal notes taking over. Not bad per se, but of course with all IPAs you want it to be as fresh as possible and this bottle might just be a few weeks too old. Dunham pushes out great products, now they just need some BBF dates on their packages.

Sincèrement, je m’attendais à mieux pour celle-ci ;-( J’adore l’idée derrière ce brassin mais on dirait que l’IPA nuit à la belge et vice versa...
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 gramity (1057) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 12, 2013
Thanks for the bottle Tommy! Amber pour with a tight creamy white head. The aroma is softly spicy with notes of black pepper, pine and a hint of grapefruit. The yeast is surprisingly restrained with some light clove notes but little else to suggest it’s presence. It is fresh and dry with a very assertive bitterness.

Enjoyed the combination of the IPA and Belgium Ale. Great mix, good beer, and Hops lovers will enjoy it. Not one of the best at Dunham, but it would certainly be a TOP Ale from anyone else!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Bendrixian (677) - Halifax, Nova Scotia, CANADA - FEB 3, 2013
lightly hazed orange colour, well laced. Esters and mix of grassy hoppy notes but rather muted aroma (due some filtration maybe?). it is a quiet beer as well, fast flavours, missing complexity. I was expecting more but i’m not so happy with this one.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 BreWedge (174) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 29, 2013
341 ml bottle @ Wellington Gastropub Ottawa. Pours a mildly hazy yellow/amber with a small, short-lived white head. Aroma is sweet tropical fruit, floral, spice, and a fresh coat of paint. Taste is sweet up front reflecting the fruity aromas. Got some banana and clove in the middle, and a good bitter punch on the back end. Medium body, and a good long, astringent finish. Interesting beer, think Belgian on the nose and German on the palate.

On tap at bateau de nuit. Gold pour with thick white head. Aroma is quite hoppy, earthy hops, some light citrus notes, faint belgian yeast. Taste is slightly earthy, spicy, some grapefruit, rather absent belgian character. Palate is very american, not really belgian either. Not bad, but a bit bland.
