(341mL bottle from Depanneur Peluso) Pours nearly black with coffee highlights, slight sediment, huge dense dark tan foam head that lingers on the surface but leaves little lace. Aroma has fresh pine and grassy hops with a slight lemony floral note (Centennial), dark chocolate, roast coffee, slight smoke and a bit of caramel sweetness. On the palate there is lots of slightly sweetened dark roast coffee, quite bitter really, pine resin hops, barely a hint of caramel. On the finish, more pine hops, coffee beans/grinds, extremely dry with a hint of smoke again. Mouthfeel medium full with prickly but low carb. Nice porter, not too "robust" in the boozy sense but big roast flavours well supported by hops. Definitely on the very dry bitter coffee/hops end of things, but would gladly drink again.

From 341 bottle. Pour is murky black with a huge brown frothy head. Floral and grassy hop notes dominate the aroma together with toffee and coffee notes from roasted malts. Same notes on the tongue. Strong coffee and dark chocolate with a long bitter finish. Some piney resin hop notes are well present. Great beer!

Bottle from the brewery, no label my Mom picked it up at the brewery I thought it was their stout but this seems like the only beer in 341ml bottles. It pours pitch black with a big thick rusty tan head. The aroma is savoury sweet chocolate, meaty cocoa nibs and dark pitted fruits. Full bodied with a soft round mouthfeel that gives it a creamy smooth mouthfeel. The taste is dark bitter chocolate, a bit sharply bitter malts, coffee, a bit roasty. A fantastic mouthfeel for a very solid porter.

Bottle. Brown with a bunch of sediment, mocha head. Roasted malt, caramel, somewhat metallic even after it opened up, some coffee grinds, bit of walnut, some bittersweet chocolate shavings. Moderate body and high carbonation, sweet and dry on the finish.

341ml bottle. Pours nearly black with a two finger, khaki head that leaves modest lacing. Aroma is very nice. Roasted malts and chocolate blended with some milk chocolate and floral notes. Yum. Taste is bitter but not overdone. Roasty with bitter chocolate, faint florals, and a drawn out, espresso bitter aftertaste. Medium-full body with a medium carbonation smooth texture in the mouth with a dry finish. Overall a really nice porter. Lots of chocolate and roasted malt paired with faint, but noticeable, floral hop notes. Would get again.
