(Dunham LaPatt Robuste Porter) Bottle 341 ml at home, served into a snifter and a teku since the foam kept coming out of the bottle after opening. ABV 6% DArk brown colour on the body, murky, huge dark beige head, thick but turning to a frothy one quite fast. Very good retention mostly because of its size. Aroma has light roasted malts, hops, light coffee, fresh coffee beans. Taste is nicely bitter, with roasted malts, coffee, good hops presence, coffee grounds on the finish, even light citrus. Long bitter aftertaste. Medium body, good carbonation. Very good, something between a porter and a black IPA.

Very dark mahogany pour with a huge fluffy khaki head that gets quickly out of control unless poured slowly and deliberately. Head fades slowly and leaves some lace. Nose is coffee, dark chocolate, roasted nuts, light vanilla, an increasing smokiness as it warms and a definite floral hop presence with a touch of pine. Light+ sweet molasses supporting a big bitterness of coffee, chocolate and herbal hops with a smoky finish. Mouth is medium+ and creamy with a lingering dry bitter finish and slightly soft carbonation. Maltier and fuller than their Black IPA and just as tasty.

Bottle 0,355ltr:Very black colored brew with an very dry bitter taste and hints of roasted malts. But this one gushed out of the bottle, poured out on multiply glasses. I don’t like this gushing beers, are they use the same system as Alvinne or such?

Bottle @ home. Opaque dark brown color with an insane foamy brown head that filled up my glass in an instant and kept oozing out of the bottle for minutes. Aroma is malts, dark roasted malts and earthy. Taste malts, roast, dark malts, leaves, earthy again, raisins, plums, firm earthy roast malt bitter. Medium body, firm fizzy carbonation. Don’t like it.

34 cl bottle @ home. Pours dark brown with a little sediment and a tan head that leaves some lacing. Aroma and flavour are roasted malt, coffee, ash, and herbs - with a roasted finish.

2015-09-08. Very dark brown body, massive foamy beige head. 3++ Aroma is dusty lightly roasty dark malt. Flavour is malty, quite dry and dusty up front, with notes of cocoa. Dark malty core. Lightly dry finish. Smooth average plus body, very effervescent carbonation. 3+ There is a thinness (possibly unintentional) to the overall impression that detracts slightly but it is still fairly nice. Bottle shared by Ferris.
