What can I say about this beer... one of the better porter (6%, 55 IBU) I have had in Quebec. Pours a nice rich black liquid with a thick coffee/milk color head. Flavors of chocolate, coffee, bit earthy highly drinkable porter. Dunham have amazing beers, and this one is in their top. In my top 5 porter in Quebec and will enjoy regularly.

Rich porter with deep smoky malt finished with some nice hop bitterness. Some hints of chocolate and coffee but mostly a dominant smokiness. Very fine porter.

(Rating #4556)

Pours pitch black with a thick mocha head that slowly fades leaving a good lace. Aromas of roasted nuts and bitter chocolate. Full body, silky texture, lots of mocha, medium carbonation , ending on light roastiness and lingering herbal bitterness. More stout than porter in my opinion, but nevertheless very well made and highly pleasant beer with a very high drinkability. Every sips calls for another one...

(25 mars 2012)

Pours a black color with small brown highlights and a thick, light brown head. Solid aroma of roasted, coffeeish malt, chocolate and mild hops. The flavor is a meal of luscious roasted and chocolate malt with light hops for seasoning, it’s slightly bitter in the finish. The body is medium with a creamy texture and gentle carbonation. This is one of the best porters out there, kudos.

Bottle via M. MartinT, merci. Shared with the Krones. A lovely full bodied porter. A long body that slowly builds from pianissimo to fortissimo for crescendo. Swirling base malts are encompassed by nutty dark tones. Light hops as expected give an undertone of crispness. A nice start of the session.

UPDATED: NOV 19, 2012 Hahaha, I saw Lapatt and I thought some kind of sick joke is in order. I didn’t realize it was Dunham. Awesome beer. Smells super pungent, very thick malt and musky. Pours black with great head and lacing. Fertile and robust. Amazing porter, with lots of coffee taste and dark chocolate. Very sexy - best beer from this Montreal trip. Bottle from Delires du Terroir.
