3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
11.2 oz bottle from the one and only glouglouburp. Poured a good looking dark black body with a foamy dark beige head. Aroma was easily my least favorite thing about this beer. Notes of wet burnt toast, dark chcolate, green leafy veggies, molasses, dark corn syrup, a slight touch of plastic overall. Medium body with a coating roastiness, average carbonation. Flavor is great, loads of roastiness, burnt toast, dark choclate, burnt coffee and cream. Excellent beer overall.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Acheté au IGA de Masson-Angers. Belle mousse et effervescence moyenne. Goût similaire à la oatmeal stout de McAuslan, mais une coche en dessous.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a dark black with an explosive dark brown frothy head. Aroma is roasted malts with chocolate and smoke. Taste is heavy roasted malts with a small smoke and bitter chocolate. A little too much carbonation for me

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bouteille 341ml.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
341ml bottle poured into stem glass. Pours a very deep black with a tiny head which quickly fades to good-sized ring. Aroma ivery roasty and coffee-like with some black chocolate notes. Taste is light-medium bitter from the roastyness. Body is medium with a thin-slick texture. Carbonation is very soft. Finish is slightly astringent with some slight bitterness, but of course nothing compared to their black IPA. Overall, a good robust porter, but I’ve had better. I’m thinking about Hill Farmstead’s Everett here but I guess the comparison isn’t very fair. Pretty enjoyable but it doesn’t stand out that much.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
341 ml bottle. Pours an opaque, brownish black with a resilient beige head. Smell is roast and coffee. Taste is coffee & cream, with chocolate. Hoppy finish, black coffee. Citrus notes? Lingering coffee bitterness. Light to medium bodied. Good porter.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Another bottle thanks to Dany, this one for that thing that one time. With the duct tape. Pours a deep black with a thin to medium sized tan head. Big sweet roast on the nose, chocolate and cocoa, a touch of isopropyl which is odd. Medium to thick bodied, loads of roast. Nice depth, full of chocolate, and roast. Nice and easy drinking, tons of body. Picks up some charred malt notes into the finish. Rather tasty overall.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pure black with huge foamy brown head. Lots of smokey roast coffee aroma, with some pine too. Interesting.. Strong hop forward beer but lots of coffee and cocoa. Creamy mouthfeel, bitter finish. Pretty good. Thanks Pat!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Black pour with beautiful thick moka foam and nice lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, lots of coffee but also piny hops. Taste: Bitter grassy hops and roasted malts. Brown chocolate adds a little welcomed sweetness. Awesome smooth and full palate. My favourite Quebec porter. Another very good one for Dunham, up there with their american pale ale and black IPA.

bottle from flaveur d’ici A: chocolate, piny, caramel, some roast. App: pitch black with beige head and good lacing. T/p: body is full finish is bitter but short. average carbonation. O: simply great. Close to balance with just enough hops to make it even more enjoyable.
