3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
6pack from la barik. Pale yellow pour with a bit of frothy white foam. Aroma of peppery american hops, quite piney. Taste is bitter, lots of hop juice flavors, pretty dry finish, nice and crisp. A bit too bitter on the finish, but quite enjoyable nonetheless, deliciously hoppy - especially for a quebec brew.

341ml bottle from Grand Duc. Batch 2 most likely. 2-3 weeks after release.
Appearance : Clear pale yellow with big white fluffy head. Extensive lacing.
Aroma : Crisp citrusy and floral hops. Very sharp and fresh. Freat malt with lots of fruits. Light honey, light yeast.
Taste : Great malt with citrusy and floral hops. As sharp and fresh as the nose. Finish is rather bitter but very fresh and crisp. Floral and citrusy notes. Other fruits too. Light resinous notes. No alcohol.
Overall : Wow. This is a huge surprise. Easily the best APA bottled in Quebec. Hell it even kicks the ass of all the our bottled IPAs. Intense hops on nose, very fresh and refreshing. No alcohol. Awesome fresh taste with a nice bitter kick on the finish. Some fruits seems to be coming from the yeast. At 6.5% with that much hops, it’s probably on the line between APA/IPA (comments ?). Anyone wanting to try this needs to seek this ASAP because it doesn’t seem like a beer that can hold fresh very long. Perfect summer beer.

341 ml bottle from La Barik (6% ABV). Pours a hazy golden yellow with modest-sized white head. Aroma is citrus (largely orange) and floral. Flavour is also quite hoppy with juicy orange/lemon, floral and piney notes. Moderate bitterness in somewhat dry finish. Solid APA.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Courtesy of SlovakSniper. Poured out a bright yellow gold colour with ultra fine sediment hanging around, a bubbly white cap that lives on as a rim and leaves a smattering of lacing. Straight up bright citrus nose, lemon candy, sort of grapefruit, some pine, deep huffs get me potency, resin, very appealing without being overhopped. Tasty and refreshing - citrusy with good long bitter lingerings. Pine is bigger in the flavour than in the aroma, smooth grapefruit, perfect sweetness and malts that balance very well. It is now in my belly.

One of the better non american APAs that I have tried. Nice floral, grassy hops that have a slight citrus kick as well. Clean malts and yeast let the hops really shine.

Hazy golden-orange body, large white head, spotty lacing. Floral and grassy hops up front, increasing citrus (particularly grapefruit) with each sip. Medium to light bodied, appropriate carbonation, moderate bitterness, clean finish.

Bottle 341 ml. Pours hazy pale yellow with a frothy white head. Fair lacing. Impressive aroma of pine and crispy citrus with peppery notes. Also some peachy notes? Flavor of pine and citrus with herbal notes. Dry and bitter finish, maybe even a tad too much. Great surprise by Dunham! High drinkability and quite enjoyable. The best bottled american pale ale from Quebec that i’ve tasted so far.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at home, from my Minneapolis Town Hall glass. Thanks Dany!!! Pours hazy gold, thick white head, lacing is above-average. Nose is clean grain, with light sour cream notes, along with tropical fruit, persimmon, grapefruit, pineapple, spice, and lemon, really pretty nose! Flavours of soapy hops, persimmon, pineapple, grapefruit, and lemon rind. Spice and cream in the finish. Really nice, but a touch overly bitter for an APA.
