COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

On tap at Vices et Versa. Appearance: hazy yellow with tons of visible carbonation & a good thick white head. Aroma: Sour milk, hops, a little malt and bran. Flavour: pretty hoppy up front, lots of carbonation on the tongue with bitter hops and a long sweet-dry finish. Nice.

One of the better non american APAs that I have tried. Nice floral, grassy hops that have a slight citrus kick as well. Clean malts and yeast let the hops really shine.

341 ml bottle from La Barik (6% ABV). Pours a hazy golden yellow with modest-sized white head. Aroma is citrus (largely orange) and floral. Flavour is also quite hoppy with juicy orange/lemon, floral and piney notes. Moderate bitterness in somewhat dry finish. Solid APA.

Pours a cloudy light golden yellow with a medium frothy top and good lacing. Aroma is pineapple and grapefruit hops and light grain. Taste is moderately bitter, grapefruit hop flavouring. Slightly sweet malt, some honey.

Drank on tap (20 oz) at Vices et Versa (under the place’s name), on April 21, 2011. Misty blonde, medium head. Light hop aroma of citrus, a little dry. Hoppy bitter taste of grapefruit, hints of sweet citrus, good bitterness. A good APA with bite!

Pale orange cloudy body. Sweet malt and a touch of pine in the aroma. Taste is initially kind of bitter but fades to a buttery sweetness. Okay.

Sampled@Rolands Mondialnachlese III, Feb ’15. Soapy white grape and citrus, a soggy mix transporting the yeast profile into the nose. Taste is also strangely wheaty: fluffy wheat proteins, Wit-like on a flowery dry palate. Interesting québécois/francospheric take on an APA.

Slightly murky orange in colour with a thin white head, light lacing. The aroma is of pale malts, orange citrus, light sweetness. The flavour is quite bitter, lots of citrus hops, good malt balance. Bitter mouthfeel, medium body, moderate carbonation. Finishes long, bitter, hoppy. This is very nice. Excellent hop bite in this one, verging on IPA territory. I want more.

341ml bottle from Broue Ha Ha in Gatineau, Quebec

Bottle 341ml. Thx JSP. Pours hazy blond with nice creamy white head. Good lacing. Aroma is of citrus, fruits, pine. Taste is of citrus, pine, fruits. Very bitter. Overall: refreshing, very nice array of citrus and fruits. Heavy on hops. Balance not too shabby.

glennmastrange (2400) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - JAN 19, 2014
Tap. Moderate malt aromas of grain and caramel, heavy pine and perfume for the hops, light soap for the yeast, with a hint of peach in the background. Head is small, frothy, white with excellent lacing and good legs and mostly diminishing. Color is sparkling clear light amber. Flavor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery with a lively carbonation and a tart finish. Well balanced and well rounded IPA. I could drink lots of this.
