3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft sample. Orange in colour with medium carbonation. Classic American Pale ale aromas of white grapefruit, flowers, and a touch of caramel malt. Florals, pine, and classic citrus notes continue on, but are somewhat blunted by some strong fat pale malt notes. Medium bodied, but with a smooth mouthfeel that seems somewhat inappropriate for the style. Moderate bitterness by today’s standards. Outclassed by the Nickel Brook Naughty Neighbor that my wife was drinking.

Bottle 341ml. Thx JSP.
Pours hazy blond with nice creamy white head. Good lacing. Aroma is of citrus, fruits, pine. Taste is of citrus, pine, fruits. Very bitter. Overall: refreshing, very nice array of citrus and fruits. Heavy on hops. Balance not too shabby.

341 mL bottle. A rather unappealing hazy brown-yellow. Aroma is nice - C hops. Sweet orange, mostly. The flavour is pretty good as well. Nice bitterness from start to finish. The hops add grapefruit and some resin. Just a touch of caramel. Pretty good.

Aroma of hops and sour wheat. Body is a nice yellow, but there’s no head. Flavour is dry hops, with a slightly wheat detergent aftertaste, followed by a dry finish. It’s very drinkable.

Bottle at home, from my Minneapolis Town Hall glass. Thanks Dany!!! Pours hazy gold, thick white head, lacing is above-average. Nose is clean grain, with light sour cream notes, along with tropical fruit, persimmon, grapefruit, pineapple, spice, and lemon, really pretty nose! Flavours of soapy hops, persimmon, pineapple, grapefruit, and lemon rind. Spice and cream in the finish. Really nice, but a touch overly bitter for an APA.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: DEC 23, 2012 Creamy puffy head over a pale gold body. FOGGY LOOK Aromas of light citrus zing countering sweetness. Taste replays aroma with deeper fruit and slight acidity and some peach. Very smooth and warm feel from alcohol. One of the few times I got samples, this would be well worth a 12oz. A 750 BOTTLE PURCHASED WAS INCREDIBLE ALSO. -

341 ml bottle. Pours a somewhat sediment-filled straw with a resilient white head. Smells like grains and citrus. Tastes like cereals, grains and yeast. Very dry. Sharp sandy, herbal, hoppy, lemon bitterness in the finish. VERY lemony bitterness. Light-to-medium-bodied, creamy. Excellent pale ale.
