COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

After getting a box of good stuff from SlovakSniper, I didnt know where to start, this was the first one i grabbed in the dark. Cloudy golden with a fizzy white head. Bigtime citrus on the nose, a bit of pine too. Huge pine flavour. Citrus and flower as well. Tastes like the time i filled a grapefruit with grass and ate it as a salad. I never did that. Good beer.

Bottle 341 ml. Pours hazy yellow with nice thick frothy white head. Some lacing. Aroma and flavour: very strong hops, pineapple, spices and pine. Taste is mostly bitter. Medium bodied with strong carbonation. Refreshing and highly drinkable. Very pleasant hoppy beer!

Bottle. Dangerously drinkable hop bomb, with a rarely-tasted-in-Québec grapefruit peel crazily intense taste. Some fruity sour notes seem to emerge from the malt; shy hints of sweetness quickly appear at first but are immediately attacked but the aggressive resinous, citrusy and tongue-bruising hoppiness. Interesting extreme ale, well done, and a great addition to Québec’s beer offering.

Glden blonde topped by a generous white head, lasting. Sweet citrus and piney aroma with a hint of catpiss. Medium body, medium carbonation, aggressive bittrness with just enough malt backbone to support it, but it finishes very dry and bitter. Tasty but unbalanced.

Pint at Bateau de Nuit. Hazy yellow gold. Meringue-like cap. Huge floral and citrus burst of taste. A mix of grapefruit bitterness and sweet citrus. Maybe pomegranate bitter? Aroma is more floral and citrus forward. Lemon lime. Muted pine. Some fresh cut grass in there too. Perfect dry finish.

Very dry and hoppy. I am a hophead but something about the combination of hops in this does not do it for me. There is something lacking in the malt too, the beer is a bit too thin and unbalanced. There is also a grassy hay like taste. A bit of a hybrid between an APA and IPA but lacking in malt body to be a really good APA but while bitter there is some oomph lacking in the hop flavouring to make it a really good IPA. I am still searching for this breweries replacement to Hoppy their fine even if unbalanced bitter IPA that the previous incarnation of the brewery produced.

UPDATED: OCT 17, 2012 Aroma: Citrus, lemon, grapefruit and a bit of banana. Hoppy floral accents as well. Very complex nose. Appearance: Hazy blond with small particles. Head is generous, white, mostly lasting and average lacing. Taste: Grapefruit and citrus are dominant. Cascade is working well. Hops are very dry and cutting. Bitterness is strong and powerful but it’s also easy to drink. Very well balanced and complex. Tasting more like an IPA than a pale ale. Makes a good upgraded everyday beer. Re tasted from cask at Vice-Versa in Montreal on October 6th 2012: Aromas are sticking out more with more cereal and floral accents than bottle. Color is a little bit darker, almost gold. Head is marvelous and holding very long. Flavors are same as bottle but a bit more faded. Still a very good APA. Worth trying in cask at V-V.

Bière blonde de 6.5 % d’alcool. Long col au versement. Vu comme étant une blonde diluée. Elle est fortement amère, possédant un goût citronné, de lime et/ou d’agrumes. Elle est rafraîchissante, mais l’aspect dilué est un peu tannant.

341 ml bottle @ Wellington APA. Pours a hazy yellow/amber with a large, thick white head and small sediment throughout. Aroma is fresh, lively lemon. Taste is crisp grainy malt nicely balanced against a lemony hop profile. Medium body, creamy, medium astringent finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Pours a pale, golden orange color with a discrete head. A lovely citrusy and flowery aroma, which boosts promises, that are fufilled by a finely bitter taste balanced with grapefruit and blood orange hints. A very refreshing brew
