Great beer, super floral and fruit aroma as soon as it exits the bottle. Wonderful tartness to this saison (being a fan of gueuzes). I tasted this without any proper way to take notes or record my impressions, but will do so hopefully again with this beer. Really satisfying, refreshing saison.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 ml bottle from Tommy, thanks man! Honey yellow pour, loads of carbonation, my glass is filled to the brim with white frothy head. Aroma of bananas, lemon, yeasty. Flavour is mild lemon, a little bit herbal, some mild hop presence towards the back, a nice crisp semi dry finish. Overall a well balanced, flavourful saison.

En fût, Couleur paille, subtile nez de malt. En bouche, on reconnait clairement la malt d’une lager, on reconnait les épices d’une saison. Finale sèche. Très agréable.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pleasant malty tasting saison that lacks some character and complexity. I can taste the mixed grains of the malt but not a lot of the other flavours that one usually gets in a saison. A good beer but did not quite meet my expectations. Not nearly as good as the Saison du Tracteur from Le Trou du Diable that I reviewed yesterday.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle - 750ml. Cloudy blond body with lively carbonation and an average white foamy head. Fresh malty/hoppy aroma with citrusy, grainy, and honeyish hints. Its sharp hoppy taste carries malty, coriander, and citrusy notes. Ends with a long, dry bitter/herbal finish. Enjoyable and well done.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cloudy pale gold pour, massive head. Aroma of banana, clove, lemon, and yeast. Lemon zest, banana, floral, peppery. Fans of the funk are probably better served skipping this one. Lighter body.

Typically Belgian yeast aroma: banana, cinnamon and clove. Blond, slightly hazy, long lasting head, average thickness with a good lacing on glass.
Taste is spicy but smooth, with notes of banana, cinnamon and clove. Good mix of spices. Smooth and refreshing.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: OCT 5, 2013 Pours a cloudy straw colored with a good white head that leaves heavy lacing. Aroma is herbal, spicy and earthy. An old world interpretation for sure! Taste is dry with a good level of bitterness coming from the hops and herbs (this isn’t your usual bitterness). Mouthfeel is OK, with a higher level of carbonation. Overall a nice one!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle purchased at La Saucisserie BAM (La Saucisserie Ste-Rose) in Laval (Quebec) on May 7, 2013. Blonde straw, average head. Aroma of spicy and dry herbs, with notes of citrus wheat. Taste very dry wheat, sour citrus notes, very bitter herbs. Good summer beer!
