A Medium Dry Sparkling Cider - Dunkerton’s Cider Mill is set in the ancient parish of Pembridge, an area of farmland, woods and hedgerows, where medieval half timbered villages meet the stone market towns of Wales. From the earliest times, rural communities have told stories of fantastic and unusual creatures which have supposedly lived in their locality. The lush rolling countryside of North West Herefordshire is no exception. Here stories tell of an animal which has evaded capture by farmer and huntsman alike; a Black Fox. The red fox has always existed, but the belief grew that there was also a fox "as black as night, so that it might live in a man’s shadow and so never be seen". A favoured haunt of the BLACK FOX is.........the Cider Orchard.

Orange coloured coider with a temporary white head and aromas of orange skinned apples. Mid to dry and only mild carbonation, but tasty for all that. Lovely stuff.

Wild yeast appearance. Very pure orchard taste, original cider apples used, strong yeast taste, just some fruitiness, but more medicinal, ground, foxy earthy dry tones.

A rather dry cider with a very nice (not too sweet) fruity aroma. I pretty much enjoyed it.

Cider pours a clear yellow with light carbonation. Aroma is rotting apples and wet hay. Taste is funky and slightly sour. Palate is smooth. Alright, but not great.

Bottle at the BeerTemple. Clear gold pour. Aroma is really funky, smells like wet hay, soured horseblanket, very funky. Taste is equally harsh, unpleasant boozy wet hay flavors, old apple flavor. Palate is light, semi-sweet. Meh.

Bottle shared @ Van Moll Brewpub. A bit hazy yellow color, virtually no head. Aroma is sweet, apples, old overripe apples. Tastes the same: sweetness, apples, sweet overripe fruits, sugary. Pretty dry finish. Quite nice.
