COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dunkertons cider use wine yeasts to give consistency and and a more sophistcated taste to their cider than most farmhouse ciders. The dry is fermented right out, bottled unfiltered and unpasteurised, and made from organically grown apples. A blend of cider apples is used, including Sheeps Nose, Brown Snout, and Foxwhelp.

Bottled at RBESG. Hazy golden. Dry and cellary, perfectly still. Sweaty, dusty appleskin flavour. Puckering sour. Interesting, but not really good.

Cask@Southampton Arms. Yellowish golden colour, small head. Aroma is tart apples, wood, mild fruits as well. Flavour is quite the same with a quite strong dry acidity to it. Nice and dry.

pours almost clear golden yellow apple juice colour with a slightly larger but quickly dissipating head, much more activity and clinging bubbles. Nose: milder vanilla/apple nose, more subdued than above Attack: dense fruity apple flavour Mid-palate: more of a crisp bite, 1/10-dry sweetness, LEMON, woody apples, acidic Finish: oak, vanilla on the exhale, tart and dry finish. I definitely enjoy the 1) Premium cider more because of the bolder flavours and the satisfying sweetness of the body. To me this is just an average dry cider with slighty more complexity.
