3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 MesandSim (7118) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 15, 2010
A Mes rate. Cask at the Southampton. Slghtly hazy orange yellow colour. Down as a straight medium on the bar but it’s definitely well within medium dry territory so I’m rating it here. A really good blast of tart apples and fresh wood. Superbly juicy, it really does have the character of something pressed moments ago. Nice and dry in the finish with some developing sweetness balancing it out. Pretty bloody good.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Fin (6185) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 11, 2006
Cask at Merton Beer Festival, Oxfordshire, July 7th and 8th 2006. Good appley aroma and a bit earthy as well, pours a paler golden colour than the Breakwell Seedling that was also tried but again tasted extremely good. Lovely and juicy with bags of appley flavour not quite the depth of flavour offered by the Breakwell Seedling but very, very good.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 leaparsons (7129) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JUL 22, 2005
75cl bottle. Pale hazy gold in colour. Aromas are apple, musty farmyard character with gueuze-like cheesiness. Flavours are equally earthy with more apple juice sweetness and sour bite and woody dryness on the finish. A good cider.
