Bottled. Black body with a large light brown head. Roasted, toasty aromas and flavours. It was getting towards the end and the focus had been shifted somewhat away from the beer as all the lads were reaching there fill. [London gathering: Spiesy, Duff, chris_o, Marty-D and SilkTork]

Beer#29 at Spiesy’s. Poured with a big, rocky, beige head. Very dark brown colour, almost opaque. Restrained coffee and roast malt aroma. Flavours include burnt coffee again and dark berry fruit. A very acceptable stout, although the mouthfeel was not too expansive. 500ml bottle (bottle conditioned) from orchard-hive-and-vine.co.uk. BBE 31 July 2005.

Last beer at Spiesy’s gaff. Bottle conditioned. BBE Jan 05. Soft fruity aroma, some metal, some raisin fruit cake. Nice dark colour with cappacino head. Soft purple flavours - very stout like. Roasty. Pleasant.
The end of a great evening. Thanks Spiesy - great cooking, great gaff, great company. Shame about the bloody TV!
