Botttle from a wine shop in Davis, CA. Poured a cloudy yellow color and smelled of friut and spices. Good on the palate with just of a hint of bitter on the aftertaste. Pretty good brew.

Cloudy straw-colored, thick white head. Aroma of orange and malt. Flavor of coriander with a very bitter hoppy finish. Nice.

Sample at Christmas Ales & A Christmas Story at Studio 35 on 12/7/08: The brew pours a hazy yellow-orange color with a medium frothy white head that recedes slowly. Aroma of yeast, pepper and floral hops. Medium body with flavors of yeast, sour apples and floral hops. Taste of cloves here and there too. The finish is yeasty with notes of pepper and raw alcohol left over. Pretty good overall.

The rare blonde winter holiday ale, this was slightly effervescent and lightly tasting with hints of fruit and citrus.

Draught. Pours a cloudy gold with a bit of an orange tint to it, with a nice dense white head on top. Aroma is initially a bit earthy, grassy, some barnyard funk in there, as well as a zesty fruit character. Taste is complex - light and fruity, with some soft citric sourness alongside a bit of barnyard funk, with just a bit of grassy bitterness towards the finish. Mouthfeel is light and effervescent.

750. color is nearly opaque goldenrod orange. a very dense and rocky head forms on top of the hazy golden brew. initial aroma is very malty, almost no hop presence, and a slight sourness. it develops into an apricot fruitiness with spicy esters. banana and clove are also noted. texture is soft and velvety. i like the mouth feel a lot. kind of a sly one. the aroma leads you to believe that the beer will be intense, it is actually quite balanced. slight oak and honey are matched by a sweet/sour crisp finish. a hint of fresh sage is observed. tastes like it would be better with some age.

On Tap. Pours a murky golden/yellow colour with a good size head and very nice carbonation. Smell is very fruity and clear, well balanced and pleasant smell of sour fruits and sweet fruits. Taste is rather bitter and sour, but also fruity and well mixed in. There are lemons there mixed with sweet fruits such as oranges, which ofcourse can also be sour, giving it a great light bitter flavour.

Wow - 750ml, pours with a massive white head... lovely orangish-yellow color. Really complex, hints of dandelion, pepper, cantelope (maybe other sweet melons), and bark. Really well balanced - finishes with a slightly astringent alcohol bite. Excellent beer for Thanksgiving. Well done.
