| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 7, 2008 Pours golden orange with surging snow white head. Nose displays yeast spice and earthy hops. Palate is dominated by yeasty spice characters, white pepper and anise in abundance. Some earthy hop presence adds complexity. Finish is dry with significant alcohol driven spice.
Strong links to the vielle provision as expected, obvious to see that this is the winter brew. Classic! JMFG (1514), Florida, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 27, 2008 Golden slightly hazed pour with a nice one-inch head in a tulip glass. Aroma is sweet wet grass wit a hint of yeast. Good body especially for a Saison. I should note that I’m not a big Saison fan, but this is a good one. Full body, light yet nice mouthfeel and a wonderful malt, citrus, yeast flavor. Very well balanced. The high alcohol is almost invisible behind the bouquet of flavors. Nice. grimreeser (796), Minnesota, USA
