Nice orange golden colour with a perfect white foamy head. Funky, yeasty, fruity (tropical & citrusy), a bit ethilic, peppery & spicy. Some cellar notes. A bit harsh MF, alcoholic but developing in a strong saison character.

A very smooth Saison! The least bitter I have had; almost as smooth as a trippel! On tap at Publick House in Brookline, Mass. I find this style most complex and this didn’t diappoint: nice lemongrass, hay, and light leather, if there is such a thing.

750 ml bottle. Somewhat milky golden color, expansive white head. Aroma of sweet malts and citrus. Taste is similar to their basic saison, with bright fruity notes, earthy tones, yeast, malts and a good hop balance, but with some alcohol and maybe a slightly fuller body. Very nice, but I still prefer the basic saison by a nose. I’d definitely like to see how this handles some aging, though.

Draught at Kulminator. Hazy, golden with a white head, fine lacings. Aroma moderate malty (caramel) and hoppy (lemon). Flavor moderate sweet, heavy hoppy. Medium body.

Pours straw yellow with a good sized head. Aroma is fruity with hints of lemon, yeast and alcohol. Mouthfeel is thin, but lively with lots of carbonation. Falvor is surprisingly dry with more lemon, bread and yest flavors. A slight bit of funk rounds out this ale. Very nice/

Het bier dat door de brouwer zelf gekozen is als nieuwjaarsgeschenk voor zijn gasten. Het blond koperen aroma heeft een bittere, fruitige maar ook fijne hopsmaak die een lange rijpheid kenmerkt

Aroma: Peach, barnyard, Belgian yeast, citrus. Flaovur: More of the same. Sweet and sour, stable, overripe fruit. Pearlsy carboantion, loud pop from the cork, but no gusher.

A- Pours a deep golden yellow hue. Slightly hazy with a huge frothy white head which leaves tons of lacing as it goes down. An absolutely beautiful brew. S- Smell is very strong. Fruit notes, Belgian spices and yeast combine to make my mouth water. T- This is where this saison lets me down a little, not because it tastes bad but because of the fact that it just seems unbalanced and after the amazing look and smell I had my hopes a little too high. As one might expect you get the same fruit notes as in the nose, very few of the spices and a belgian yeast which leaves a slight skunky Heineken flavor in your mouth. While this paragraph seems like I don’t like the taste that isn’t it at all. I think it is one of the best saison’s I have ever had but I felt like it could be the ultimate with a couple tweaks. M- Mouthfeel is very crisp, lingers on the palate a bit and seems to go down very smooth. Amazingly refreshing. D- Again because of the fact that the taste isn’t where I would like it to be, it got dinged in this category a bit, however I had no trouble finishing the 750 by myself.
