Pours a light gold in color with a nice frothy head that leaves plenty of lacing. Smell is all belgian yeast and some funk. Taste is much the same, but works well. Some lemon zest and spice coming through the funk. Creamy and just perfeclty carbonated, not too much. An easy drinker that will catch up with you in a hurry. Very good.

Tap at the Blue Nile. Generously poured by Pigfoot. Thanks Al! Dry, dusty yeast with spices and orange zest. Perfume and soap. Quite aromatic. Pours hazy gold with a creamy white head. Very sweet malt initially on the palate balanced nicely by loads of dry and spicy yeast. Soft and creamy. Delicate with excellent carbonation. Finishes quite dry.

Draft at d.b.a. Golden pour with medium sized white head. Aroma of some earth and spices. Flavor is sort of a conglomeration of earthy malt, spices, a little sour lemon, and blond belgian malt sweetness. Pretty good blend of flavors, but I would prefer to have any one of the flavors stand out a little more.

750 ml green corked & caged bottle. 2007 on cork. Hard to get the cork out. Poured out a dirty yellow color, with plenty of haze. Aromas are of pepper, corriander, funky Saison yeast. Flavors are harsh, not well blended. Mostly pepper, yeast, some solvents. This beer could use some serious aging. I might put one down for 5 years & see what happens.

Corked and caged courtesy of boboski - thanks! Cork reveals 2002 vintage - sampled here in December 2007. Super spicy nose - malt- and coriander-heavy. Yeasty with pear, pepper, orange peel, and a bit of lemon grass. Cloudy golden pour, but still very bright, with a dense creamy, rocky white head. Taste is brightly malty and yeasty, with dominate coriander. Full body with a little heft from the alcohol but no burn. Feel is smooth as velvet, and the aftertaste is dry with just a bit of spicy heat/harshness. Nice and woody, and not overly sweet like many a Saison. Classy! And rather excellent.

Bottle at Het Waterhuis a/d Bierkant 06-12-07 Poured a mid gold colour with a white rim of bubbles and medium carbonation. Excellent beer that started quite fiercely bitter but with a stunning spiciness, yeast and hop supporting cast thrown into the equation, yum.... The alcohol whilst quite pokey is never an unwanted guest and only really shows itself as a warming participant on the way down. A lovely winter beer and another corker that I’ve had from Dupont.

Sampled at sl holiday event. Pours a cloudy gold with a small fizzy white head. Aroma is sweet fruit, citrus, musty yeast, and light spices. Flavor is medium bodied with a slight sweetness and is lightly acidic with lemon, citrus, grass, and spicy hops and has a dry finish.
