ChristianScheffel (4431), Odense, Denmark Aug 22, 2007 Updated: Mar 23, 2009Cloudy yellow with a small white head.
Complex aroma with herbs (rosemary and sage), orange peel, mango and grassy hops.
Dry bready malt flavur with spices and hops, and some pumpkin-like nuttiness. Fruity notes of peach and pineapple. Very herbal and quite bitter finish.
Did I mention complex? Make sure you get a bottle to yourself to fully appreciate it! Beershine (2678), Hue, Vietnam Aug 20, 2007 Updated: Nov 8, 2007Ah what a nice bottle. Soft, effervescent mouthfeel is delightful. Big, hoppy and dry. Tastes better and better with every sip and proves itself as an exceptional brew. ontario102 (794), Boise, Idaho, USA Aug 18, 2007 Sampled at Chris O’s Shindig; Aug. 2007: Clody body, lemony, slightly grassy aroma; some dusty yeast; fruity pear notes; slight bodied; slightly astringent finish; dry. Good. Doppelganger (1353), Dry County, Arkansas, USA Aug 18, 2007 Bottle at the Chris o shindig. Very pale gold, nice white airy foam cap. Peppermint, golden raisin, a bit of leather and acid. A fresh and intreiging aroma.. Delicate fresh fruit esters--unbelievably delicate for the strength. Just a bit of menthol in the finish. Really impressive beer. sliffy (1966), Columbus, Ohio, USA Aug 17, 2007 On tap @ Buckeye Beer Engine: Pours a clear gold with a white head. Aroma, funky with some sour notes. Flavor, tart with some lemon, and some funk. A dry yeasty finish. Pretty solid. M0RHI (1067), Luxembourg, Luxembourg Aug 10, 2007 Bottle, Chris o shindig. Cloudy yellow straw, thin white head. Quite acetic, sweet with alcohol present. Sherberty yeasty. Banana and something else that I couldn’t put my finger on. Quite complex. Some yeast, and some fruityness. Quite lively with some dusty sweet finish. yespr (11649), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 5, 2007 75 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a slight off-white and lasting head. Spiced yeasty aroma, very classic belgian. The flavour is soft caramel blending into a more strong spice flavour. Some alcohol presence in the finish together with a bitterness. Keynote here is the balance, the beer as such holds nothing different from many other Belgians. The balance however is perfect, not to strong and not too weak eather but very smooth - nice. Goblincat (356), Westland, Michigan, USA Jul 24, 2007 Hazy orange in color, with a fluffy white head. My bottle was slightly skunked, but I will overlook that as the product of a green bottle sitting too long in the well lit store. Anyway, I’m also picking up a bit of earthiness and maybe some citrus in the nose. Upon entering the mouth, I taste grass, acid, clove, maybe a touch of plum. This bubbly brew quickly dissolves away quickly on the tongue. Too bad about the skunk but I can see the good points through it.
