750ml - 2005 - Aroma of funky yeast, holiday spices, grass and sweet bread. Pours cloudy yellow with a steady stream of bubbles cascading up from the center of my Duval tulip. A huge head leaves great lacing. Flavor is sweet and funky with Dupont yeast and holiday spices, pepper and alcohol. Palate is tart and sticky. A potent saision to be sure with the alcohol biting a bit. I would like to revisit with a fresh one since there wasn’t much hops here in this aged bottle.

Bottle. Average fizzy white head that mostly lasted. Fair lacing. Hazy orange color. Dust, barnyard, grain, spice, citrus, fruit, caramel, liquorish, yeast and herbs. Full bodied with a lively carbonation. Moderated sweet flavor with some bitter notes and hint of acidic. Light alcoholic texture. Spicy sweet finish. Excellent Saison!

Bottle. Hazy yellow with a little white head. A sweet and fruity aroma. Pineapple, apples and oranges. Round taste, fresh and slightly vinious. Really good.

750ml bottle. Tulip glass. Cloudy pale yellow with a large head. Aroma was yeast, citrus fruit and spice. The taste was tangy and dry with notes of yeast and peppery spices. The alcohol was noticeable up front, but mellowed as it warmed. (Or was it just that I was getting drunk having eaten little before opening the bottle.) This was a bit over-the-top for me and at this point prefer the more subtle Dupont Vieille Provision. But overall a very nice saison.

750ml bottle from Kingdom Liquors Brandon, Fl. Pours a hazy golden with a large long lasting white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of black pepper, sweet malt, light citrus, floral and earthy hops. Taste is the same as aroma just more pronounced. Medium thin mouthfeel that finishes dry and slightly tart. A wonderfull Saison.

Bottle from Hopduvel warehouse, Gent. A hazy gold colour with a strong, white head. Aromas of bitter hops and farmyards. Flavourwise, the alcohol really dominated - it almost burned. Not to my taste, I much prefer the weaker Dupont saison.

Courtesy SoLan. Pours a hazy, yeasty, gold with a thick, frothy, well retained white head. Really nice looking. Lovely aromas, some nutmeg, cinnamon spices, coriander, a little clove, some funky citrus as well. Taste is quite spicy, kind of explodes around the sides of the mouth. Just a touch of some pepper, not much sourness. More nutmeg and cinnamon than anything. A touch of some orange citrus rounds out the flavors. Really refreshing for how spicy it is. Pretty creamy in the finish, the aftertaste is slightly bitter and funky. Fantastic.
