bgburdman9 (822), Columbus, Ohio, USA Apr 1, 2007 Popped open with the loudest cork ever from a beer. Poured light with some orangish hints and a pretty big white head. Aroma of some citrus, spice-maybe some pepper, and some funkiness. Flavor was light, citrusy. Palate was incredible. Although a little alcohol was noticable this not sweet at all. I would like to have this with some chicken or turkey. atw (2), USA does not count Mar 24, 2007 mellow fruits + spice, yeasty, cloudy amber. aromatic, balanced, and satisfying from start to finish. 9.5% alcohol was barely noticable. paired well w/ herb chicken. tomthompson89 (1459), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Mar 24, 2007 nice light belgian, golden fruity, pilowy white head.malty spicynose.fruity flavours with nice pale malt, sorta peppery. nice beer. waolsen (1220), Littleton, Colorado, USA Mar 20, 2007 #500. bottle hazy orange with thick white frothy head. beautiful flora aroma, apricot and fig, yeast, nutmeg and alcohol. lievely palate, medium body. fruity and spicy. good malt backing. strong alcohol presence that I welcome. Flavor is deep and complex, I wonder how so much can go on at once. Slight sourdough flavor, nices kiss of the hops, alchohol is decptively well hidden, finishes crisp. For a style that has never been my favorite, or so I thought, this is a wonder to behold. reakt (938), Greater London, England Mar 17, 2007 Updated: Sep 2, 2007Bottle from Uto. Bottle opened itself, cork is m.i.a. Pours golden with a nice thin foamy head that lasts, leaving a coating on the glass. Strong spicy yeast nose, alcohol is apparent. Sweet at first with a slightly bitter orange zest taste that appears as you swallow. Hoppy with notes of honey and pepper. Medium bodied with a syrup like character and lots of sediment. Outstanding... jasonp (1504), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA Mar 16, 2007 Pours a perfect slightly hazy orange with a thick billowy white head. Zesty citrusy lemon, white pepper, light banana and a spicy/fruitiness in the nose. The flavor is a bold and tasty mix of pale malt, orange, lemon zest, honey, flowers, grassy noble hops and black pepper. Pleasantly sweet - ending with ample hop bitterness on the back end. Alcohol content very well-hidden. Perfect medium body with that classic lively, spritzy carbonation and dry finish. Excellent.
