| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 17, 2007 Aroma is sour, grassy (hay), with a touch of lemon zest. Flavor is deep and complex, I wonder how so much can go on at once. Slight sourdough flavor, nices kiss of the hops, alchohol is decptively well hidden, finishes crisp. For a style that has never been my favorite, or so I thought, this is a wonder to behold. reakt (938), Greater London, England

Pours golden with a nice thin foamy head that lasts, leaving a coating on the glass. Strong spicy yeast nose, alcohol is apparent. Sweet at first with a slightly bitter orange zest taste that appears as you swallow. Hoppy with notes of honey and pepper. Medium bodied with a syrup like character and lots of sediment. Outstanding... jasonp (1509), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Mar 16, 2007 Pours a perfect slightly hazy orange with a thick billowy white head. Zesty citrusy lemon, white pepper, light banana and a spicy/fruitiness in the nose. The flavor is a bold and tasty mix of pale malt, orange, lemon zest, honey, flowers, grassy noble hops and black pepper. Pleasantly sweet - ending with ample hop bitterness on the back end. Alcohol content very well-hidden. Perfect medium body with that classic lively, spritzy carbonation and dry finish. Excellent. bitbucket (2030), Kirkland, Washington, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 28, 2007 A Mes rate:
37.5cl bottle from what used to be Thirst for Beer in that place in Wales. Wonderful crisp looking colour with a superbly behaved head that finally settles to a thin film and lasts all the way down. Wonderful spicy blonde aroma with hints of hay or straw but underlying perfumed character that is nothing short of enticing. Colour has just gone totally opaque with the final pour. The creamiest hops fall out of the glass and prickle the senses before it even touches your lips. Mouthfeel is surprisingly delicate but spritzy at the same time. Almost funky in the mouth with plenty of what you want from this type of beer but it’s the finish that really makes this a killer. Inititally unexpectedly sweet but then fiercely bitter followed by a rush of alcohol and it keeps coming in waves. Superb length and a glorious warmth from the good stuff. Seriously good. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 27, 2007 Taste is very yeasty at first sip. Aroma has a slight spicy with a faint haze to it. The head is attractive yet dissipates rather quickly. The fizzy carbonation tickles your tongue. The rest has a harsh spicy taste yet is very satisfying . nick76 (2647), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 27, 2007 Updated: Jul 14, 2008The aroma is very yeasty with a cheese and corn souffle element. The appearance is deep gold with a slight orange hue. The flavor is like the aroma with an astringent bitter finish. The palate is OK but a tad thin. This is interesting but not something I would want to drink regularly.
