ilovedarkbeer (683), Dallas, Texas, USA Jul 2, 2008 Pours an honey orange color with a nice fluffy bone colored head. Nose is citrus, grass, pears, yeast, and clover honey. Taste is fruity and sweet but not very complex. Extremely refreshing and there is not any tartness or funk that is characteristic of some of Dupont’s other saisons. I like it, and at 9.5% the alcohol content is a ghost. gam (445), brisbane, Australia Jun 29, 2008 Thick soft frothy head on an orange pour, some very good carbonation. The aroma is of floral likeness, orange peel, coriander, clove, lemon, peaches.Flavour coriander, orange peel, peach and fig,a relaxing ale,Dupont have done well with this one.Finish dry bitter sweet, smooth and mellow, worth every penny. austone (242), Pori, Finland Jun 26, 2008 Updated: Jun 29, 200875cl bottle. Flakey yellow, thick pale head. Yeasty nose, pear, apple, little chalk and menthol. Flavor is nicely malty with strong menthol spiciness. Alcohol shows a bit too much in the finish. Medium to full bodied, strongly carbonated palate. Very fresh, but not as diverse as the basic Dupont. notalush (1951), Rawn-kawn-kohma, New York, USA Jun 24, 2008 Effervescent, hazy straw beer, with a soapy, well-sustained head - somewhat musty, earthy aroma, with apparent pils malt, light hop spiciness, some citrus tanginess - quite peppery, grassy, and herbal up front, followed by a relatively high sweetness for the style - this is followed by some herbal, tea-like character, and then some white pepper - the alcohol is completely masked - finishes with honey and wildflowers (lavender) - more like a spicy trippel due to its sweetness, but still pretty nice. basewars (29), New York, USA Jun 23, 2008 Pours hazy yellow, with a lot of carbonation. Smells of yeast, which is visible in the glass. Tastes of bread and fruit. Something else in there though that makes this beer stand out. It’s smooth, no tart. Don’t know what it is, but I’m sure I’ll try it again.
