Biere de Miel is bottle conditioned and contains only water, barley and wheat, honey, hops and yeast. It has a marvelously delicate scent of honey, balnaced by a dry palate, resulting in a beer that is both estery and refreshing.

Disclaimer: Both the normal and the organic (biologique) version.

Bottle @ Craft Room. Poured a honeyish orange/amber body. Small white head. Perfumey aroma of honey. Taste... honey on grainy maltiness, honey turns slightly medicinal. Sweet up front but thankfully not into the finish. Somewhat unusual, even for a honey beer.

Hazy golden amber pour with decent off-white head, full of pinprick sized bubbles. Very floral aroma, with the honey prominent, along with musty hay and biscuit. The taste has a fairly subtle honey flavour, with lightly toasted bread and expected farmhouse funk. Light bodied, dry, crisp and quite acidic. The high carbonation and acidity give it a bit too much of a prickly character. 8% ABV unnoticeable. Pretty good overall.

10/14/2010 10:52:24 AM Bottle from Bioshop. Hazy orange body with medium head. Nose is of fruis and citrus. Quite appealing. Taste is fruity, with caramel. Nice carbonation and texture. The high abv is very pleasantly hidden until it warms in the end. A well made beer, this one.

Robe dorée, mousse peu abondante. Nez sur le miel, le houblon et les levures dupont...Bouche fraîche, fruitée, équilibrée et avec une finale miellée. Une bière agréable mais pas trop mon style.

Limited honey smell, very sweet and soft on the tongue, limited after-taste. Nice for a honey beer, maybe not my style in general

25cl bottle. Cloudy golden pour with minimal off-white head, little to no lacing. Aromas of dough, barnyard and honey. Taste is a bit sweet, but in a disturbing way, slightly bitter and dry. Low carbonation, balanced aftertaste with warm finish. I like this, good use of honey.

Bottle 25cl @ home from the bundle during the tour. Color: clear golden blond beer with no carbonation and small white foam. Smell: cereal, honey, flowers. Fresh summer forest notes. Taste: nice malt and sweet honey taste. Good flower balance. And amazing attenuation of honey (very nice, normally I don’t like honey beer because there are too sweet and this one is really nice you feel the really taste of the flowers and the honey!) - Easy drinkable for 8% - Aftertaste: good wet bitterness, floral and sweet honey. But style for me it’s not a saison... that’s the reason of the overall 12/20...
