Biere de Miel is bottle conditioned and contains only water, barley and wheat, honey, hops and yeast. It has a marvelously delicate scent of honey, balnaced by a dry palate, resulting in a beer that is both estery and refreshing.

Disclaimer: Both the normal and the organic (biologique) version.

UPDATED: MAR 23, 2016 Flasche („Bière de Miel Biologique", 75 cl, BBD: 06/2016) vom Bierlinie-Laden, Berlin- Prenzlauer Berg. Wunderbar!

Pours a hazy golden body with a thick and lasting head. Nice aroma of funky hay. Nice and fresh taste with a nice carboration and a hint of honey.

0.25l bottle. Hazy deep golden body, white head. Aroma and taste of honey, yeast, pepper, coriander and floral hops. Sweet and phenolic at the same time. Quite interesting beer. I think it’s sweeter, heavier and spicier than an average saison. Very nice, but not something you can chug liters of.

UPDATED: FEB 19, 2016 You open the bottle. You smell it. Heaven. If you dislike honey you wouldn’t like this beer. I love honey. I’ve tasted a few honey beers, this is the best by very far. Appearance? What I’d expect from a honey beer, light, ambered and clear. Taste? Lovely, honey, yeast. I was surprised to feel the honey taste in a beer that isn’t too sweet (I dislike too sweet beers). Not too bitter, which is a nice thing. And the acidity is lovely. Again it’s very interesting to have a softly sweet and a hint of acidity in a honey beer. Palate, pretty poor, the taste is good but doesn’t stand for too long. I’ve bought a dozen of beers this week for my daily tastings. By far the one I enjoyed the most. If you like honey go for it ! RIGHT AWAY !

Pours dark amber, a bit cloudy with white, soapy small foam, minimal lasing.
Aroma: rye malt sweet, a bit yeasty, basement sour and peppery a bit too, some honey notes can be added with great fantasy, weak aroma, almost none.
Taste: sweet, grainy/wort alike, min bitter. Medium body, oily texture, light dry finish, fizzy a little, medium+ carbonation. Simple and not to remember.
