COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Biere de Miel is bottle conditioned and contains only water, barley and wheat, honey, hops and yeast. It has a marvelously delicate scent of honey, balnaced by a dry palate, resulting in a beer that is both estery and refreshing.

Bottle shared at beers of the world. Aroma is skunky like a bohemian pilsner. Sour yeast and mildew with just a hint of honey. Pours very bubbly with a nice light color. Taste is very harsh with a skunked pilsner taste and a nice honey finish. This was not very pleasant at all.

On tap. Hazy pale gold. Clean malt flavor (low malt complexity). Very dry. Honey aftertaste. Slightly dank and earthy. A good beer, but not a great one.

75 cl bottle @ Olutravintola Konttori. Rated on 18.09.2009
Aroma has yeasty notes, some fruits, honey and wheat. Flavour is also quite yeasty with fruity notes, some apricot, wheat, honey and hints of citron. Palate is too high on CO2. Decent.

The Ginger Man, NY tap ($10): Pours golden with a white head that descends quickly. Aroma is loads of flowers, honey, and a bit of farmhouse funk. Taste is somewhat sweet, with loads of honey in there. The honey imparts a lovely floral taste that goes further into the aftertaste. Really nice body. This is definitely one of the best honey beers I have had.

bottle @ il pretesto. It pours golden with a huge white head on top. Aroma is honey and something floreal but all well balanced with a good refreshing bitterness.

Bottle. Hazy peach colour. Thin white head. Honey in the aroma. Yeast. Blackberries, wildflowers. Med bodied. Raw honey flavour. Mild crisp grassy hops, dandelion, lemon, yeast. Tea-like finish .

Pours murky brown with thin white head. Smells somewhat yeasty. Light and sweet: yeasty and fruit, sweet citrus, pear, lots of honey. Bunch of spices.

Strange tart floral aroma. Almost pineapple like. Anyone remember Flintstones vitamins? Orange, well carbonated, and cloudy. Esters and honey on the front, long, over sweet finish. Syrupy feel, but also very dry. Much stronger than any conventional saison deserves to be. Might be a good beer overall, but not for me.

750ml bottle, shared. Clear bubbly golden body. Big foamy off-white head. Authentic excellent honey aroma, almost a sort of savory smokey taste to it. Light sweet. Soft, smooth carbonation. Interesting stuff

UPDATED: OCT 14, 2012 750 ml bottle to snifter. Looks good; a transparent orange with off-white head. Smells and tastes of mildly bitter hops and spice. Average on the palate. Pleasant.
