COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Biere de Miel is bottle conditioned and contains only water, barley and wheat, honey, hops and yeast. It has a marvelously delicate scent of honey, balnaced by a dry palate, resulting in a beer that is both estery and refreshing.

Disclaimer: Both the normal and the organic (biologique) version.

250ml bottle at home. Pours hazy golden yellow, thick, rocky white head, loads of floaters. Loads. Dirty honey and saison yeast aromas, perhaps bubblegum. Something in me wants me to hold my nose whilst I drink it. That said, I’m not the biggest fan of honey, in beer or anywhere else. Taste is OK, pepper and more gummy sweetness. Clean finish, thankfully.

Rating #912 - January 14, 2014 - 250ml Bottle from Coop. Pours a golden yellow with a carbonated white foam that goes on for days (yeast clocking in for some OT). Aroma is floral honey and funk. Palate is actually quite sweet, lots of floral lavender notes, as well as a sticky sweetness. Mild sour note from the yeast. Not enough gumption in the funk for a real rippin’ saison, but this is certainly light, sweet, and crushable.

Aroma of musty honey. Not terrible smelling but definitely odd. Tasted very overwhelmingly of musty yeast and dry, expired honey, not good at all.

250 ml bottle. Pours a very flaky and sediments-filled dark golden with a thick, resilient white head. Aroma is sugar, honey, pale malt. Fresh! Flavor is vanilla cake, honey, belgian yeast, yellow fruits. Finish is lots of honey, herbal and floral hops. Lingering malts, honey, and hints of lemon. Medium body, mellow mouthfeel and average carbonation.

Bottle courtesy of Paul. Nice saison but not as good as the original in my opinion.

25cl organic version. pours hazy pale yellow with a nice white head, good retention and lacing. spicy and dusty yeast, wild honey - flirting with sweet minty and bubblegum, honeyed malts and fresh cereals - , floral and fruity esters. unusual aroma. sweet raw wheat. bright to average carbonation - foamy atr times, light body - oily, relatively dry and firmly bitter herbal-grassy finish. interesting and nice.. Keg at Six Degrees North, ABZ. It pours is hazy golden with a small off-white head. The nose is dough, hay, tart apple & pear, big clove aspect and TCP. The taste is sweet, doughy, hay, light spice, candy, pear drops, toast, cheap custard, faint smoke with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. After an enticing nose, the taste is a bit sweet and lacking in depth. OK at best.

Cloudy orange, with a big frothy white head. Smells like honey and funk, which would be a great name for an album. Taste is honey and spruce, plus some medicinal notes and a touch of oak. Nicely light bodied, though.
