3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice rich floral honey notes in the aroma. Hazy yellow, minimal head. Taste isn’t as exciting as the nose seems to predict, sweet belgian yeast upfront, somewhat watery finish with a bit of alcohol and some honey on the finish. No hop bitterness. Mild carbonation. Not too exciting aside from the aroma, which is quite nice.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Golden, cloudy, average and fully diminishing head. Moderate, malty - lightly wheaty and sweet aroma, some fruitiness with honey, light spiciness (coriander) and hoppyness. Body medium, malty - lightly wheaty and sweetish flavor, light fruitiness with honey, light hoppyness. Finish is average, malty - lightly wheaty and lightly sweetish - sweetish, some honey and light spiciness with light hoppyness, faint alcohol. Saison with honey - not for me. Way too sweet being saison.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
25cl bottle poured into tulip glass. Quite hazy blond beer with creamy white head that disappears too quickly according to my liking and which remains thin. Aromas of honey, yeast, wheats and honey are remarkable. Did I mention the honey already? Indeed, it’s been largely honey in the first quarter. The taste is moderately sweet, slightly bitter and slightly dry in its finish. The aftertaste reminds us of the honey and gives it a clear sweet honey-ish character in general. Despite the 8% abv, it lacks that warmish feeling of the alcohol (dangerously well hidden though). Medium body with a bit of a creamy texture and quite lively carbonation. Reminded me a bit of a Belgian tripel and wheat beers, but it is just a bit in the middle. Less stronger than a tripel and a bit sweeter than most wheat beers. Nice and enjoyable brew with a soft feeling and an interesting honey (after)taste. Not that extremely special, but it would be lovely to have one or two bottles on a rainy day in autumn.

Südlich heller, deutlich hefiger Antrunk. Hell würzig, zu süß, hell malzig, etwas Kaugummi. Nicht wirklich rund. 10/9/8/8//7

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: AUG 15, 2014 Artisanal organic honey beer from the brewery which practically invented organic beers in Belgium (and practically invented saison for that matter, but anyway). Creamy, dense, sticky head, stable at the edges of the glass, colour amber with a brownish hue, misty. Powerful, rich and refreshing aroma of artisanal honey, chocolate, gingerbread, brandy, balsamic vinegar, strawberry, gin, dates; soft malty taste, caramel, honeyish middle, becoming dryer towards the finish, spicy hops, complex but less than expected considering the promising aroma. Nevertheless a beautiful and exemplary honey ale.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Cloudy orange with a large off-white head. Nice esters, toasty malt, yeast, fruits, obvious honey. Flavour is sweet malt, yeast, honey. I like this beer not for it’s masterful balance or harmonious flavours but because it is unique and enjoyable.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
33cl bottle. I have a hard time with this... minty spearmint gum / mint lifesavers crossing over into medicinal "Icy Hot" territory, and once that association is set it’s hard to get past. Malt is bready / lightly toasty, yeast is super phenolic, honey character minimal (for me), hops nearly nonexistent. Medium body, sweet and syrupy, sticky even. Honey-ish in the mouth, unlike the nose, but still minty and medicinal. Sorry folks, as much as I love Dupont, this one is beyond me.

Zeer diverse smaak maar het was absoluut een tegenvaller. Hoeveel keer je er ook een slok van neemt, het wordt niet beter

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Light orange, hazy. Pretty intensive nose- sort of wit- yeasty spicy with coriander and citrus, oranges zest, but more malty, belgy blong- like. Quite nice really, and intensive- reeks across the table. Soft medium full body, bit of an oily palate. Oranges, slight hayish malts. I really liked the wit-ty feel, and good initial flavours. Some murky old malts there after letting it sit a while, geets bit boozy as it warms.
