Acknud (611), Morganfield, Kentucky, USA Jul 7, 2008 Yellow pour with large head. Spicy aroma. Sour with a hint of honey and spices.
Chia (26), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Oct 12, 2008 pours a large thick white head and has a hazy applejuice color. heavily carbonated. the nose has hints of honey and grain. Intitially the flaver is grainy but has a very strong bazooka bubble gum after-taste. emerica56 (485), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Oct 12, 2008 Pours a thick white head with a cloudy orange color. The nose is nice and honey swet with some floral hops. The flavor is moderately bitter with a nice funk and it is nice and grainy. It coats your mouth nicely and it leaves a bitter honey note on your palate. Overall it is kind of musty and funky and a nice brew. Drink4Satan (479), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Oct 12, 2008 Pours an effervescent cloudy straw colour with a puffy off-white head. Musty yeast, honey and wheat immediately are evident in the aroma. Some floral hops come through as well. The flavour is distorted by the extremely sharp cabonation and ulrta-thin body. There are notes of wheat and honey with grainy and grassy flavours. It’s refreshing and appropriate for the style (which I don’t really appriciate as a style), but not very enjoyable, as it’s harsh on the palate and mild in flavour. ilovedarkbeer (766), Dallas, Texas, USA Oct 8, 2008 86 percentile? No. No No NO. Nose is deer corn, honey, and skunk. Taste is corn chips and fritos with a bit of cheap kirkland signature honey. Harsh back end to this beer. Looks alright, golden cloudy body with a puffy white head. Messy. dchmela (775), Orlando, Florida, USA Oct 7, 2008 Pours a hazy yellow orange with a huge creamy white head. Honey floral citrus aroma with hints of pepper and belgian style funk. Taste is smooth and slightly creamy with big carbonation. I also get honey and a grassy hop bitterness. A very enjoyable saison.
