3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Lubiere (8239) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 24, 2013
A hazed blonde ale with a super thick white head. In aroma, a nice spiced malt with lemon and light cut grass. In mouth, a nice smooth spiced malt with faint oxidation, grassy, not bad. Tasted at GRMs.

750 mil bottle shared at GRM’s. Milky golden, fair white head. Some Dupont funk, a bit skunked, light citrus, a little tired. Medium-ish body, very limited effervescence. Light herbal notes, a touch of cardboard, very faint funk, a bit tired; dry, minimal bitterness and a weak finish.

Bottle from BVS, Brussels. It pours clear yellow with a thick, pillowy white head. The nose is dough, light toast, floral, grass and spice. The taste is dough, spice, floral, metallic, soda water, dry grass and pithy citrus with a very dry finish. Light body and spritzy carbonation. Refreshing and easy drinking. Good low alcohol offering.

Herbs, fresh summery aroma.
Lightblond transparant beer with a large white head.
Too watery finish in this one.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 JStax (1665) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - NOV 29, 2012
Poured from a 2008 corked and caged 750 ml bottle into a champagne flute. Pours a very lively pale gold with a white head of foam. The aroma has notes of sweet berries with a hint of lemon mandat some sulfuric notes. The taste is just slightly sweet with a little acidic bite just softly tickling the sides of the tongue. Very light on the palate. This beer has held up extraordinarily well. I wonder how it would be fresh.

Pours a hazy yellow colour underneath a large yellow tinged head.Spicy aromas and also citrus notes followed by a wet cardboard smell.Flowery and spicy flavour with wheat and lemon too.Light bodied beer but with a good rounded light bitter taste.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 BigBeer45 (1116) - Michigan, USA - NOV 19, 2012
Sampled from a bottle,
this ale had a hazy yellow and orange pour, the pour made a three finger white head that slowly lowered to a thick cover and sticky ring, the glass had a strong flowing center stream with some single streams elsewhere in the glass and bubbles flowing up the sides of the glass, this beer left rings and fingers of lacing on the sides of the glass, there was a thin layer of sediment on the bottom of the bottle,
this beer had aromas of light malt and bread, orange rind and lemon citrus fruit, Dupont yeast, grass and field floral scents, some earthy and fruit funk, faint fruit and powdered sugar sweetness,
it had flavors of faint malt and bread, grassy and citrus hops, some lemon fruit, light citrus and spice,
the finish had some hop bitterness and dry on the tongue,
the mouth feel was very light and there was some creaminess on the palate, it had lively carbonation,
this saison is similar to the Saison Dupont Vieille Provision but with less and lighter fruit notes, and less malt, a nice drink, this would be a great Summer thirst quencher, the nose was bigger than the flavor, it was thirst quenching and dry, if this beer were cheaper and came in six packs, I
think I would drink it all Summer long.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 arrogantb (1398) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 3, 2012
750ml bottle $9. Pillowy head atop a yellow colored body. Smells spicy and floral, sasion-like. The taste was pretty darn good for such a low alcohol beer. spicy, lemony, wheaty, good saison. Excellent beer for drinking during the day but I’m not sure I could afford to buy it like that.
