4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
I was suprised to find this Bière de Table here in Florida at the OTH.
This beer is indeed as described on the label, the family beer that most of us from certain parts of Belgium have grown with. Although an old tradition, these beers are still widely availaible in Belgium, and it was not rare for my dad to serve us this kind of beer as kids. A low ABV beer that can be enjoyed by the whole family.
Dupont did an awesome job with this beer. Though of low alcohol content it does make up with its complex flavour.
A noseful of yeast, pours golden light, served in 75cl bottle, with a bitter citrus after taste.
I will give it such score as it clearly reflects upon a great tradition that is still a part of many Belgian families. Dupont has managed to recreate this great beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle pours a fairly hazed straw yellow with a quick to shrink head that clings somewhat. The aroma is fresh cut grass and some spicy character, perhaps clove. The flavor is yeasty, bread, clove, banana as it warms, some restrained hops, and very nice. Decent palate and very cleansing. Overall, decent Saison, well constructed, and love the low ABV.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Lightly hazy gold. 3cm of frothy white foam. Aroma of spicy, floral yeast, light citrus, crisp grains, and bitter, grassy hops. Same flavors. Medium body, well carbonated. Finish is dry, lightly bitter, and lightly yeasty. Decent. Love the fact that it’s only 3.5%. Where’s the minikeg?

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
[bottle] shared by the Cellars crew. Poured a straw yellow with a large white head. Aroma is slight, with some funk, lemon grass, and yeast. Mouthfeel is incredibly light, could barely detect it in your mouth if it weren’t for the huge carbonation. Flavor is really nice, with some spice, yeasty, bready funk, grass, and some lemon. Obviously at 3.5%, could drink this all day.

Perhaps a high rating given my drinking buddies rates, but this is what I’m looking for on my recent saison kick. And it’s exactly what it’s advertised to be - an excellent table beer. Particularly for grilling Hazy gold with some nice head, this had an earthy aroma. Bread and yeast and a little funk in the body, particularly with the sediment shot. Smooth and easy drinking, I will be picking up a bunch of this for lazy afternoons to com.e

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Slightly cheesy initially on the nose. Lighter spice notes, honey, candy sugar with a blast of dustiness. The sweetness comes to fruition as the beer opens up but there is always an underlying mild funk. Pours a hazy gold with a big bright white head. dusty and earthy on the tongue. Cut grass and dry leaves. A touch of dry and grassy hops but other than that not a lot going on. Thin to medium bodied with extra lively carbonation. Abrupt short and watery finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Available at Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in St Paul, Minnesota. Pours a lazy, hazy, crazy, hint of golden brew with a thick white and sticky fizzy head that has some nice retention. It even has particles in the brew. Cool! Aroma of barnyard funk at first and then banana esters after it comes up for air. Touch of clove and bubble gum. Taste is medium bodied, plenty of carbonation, with flavors of light white multi grain malt, wheat, barnyard funk, banana, yeast and cloves. Finish has a slight salty banana aftertaste that sticks around.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy yellow color with a thin head. Aroma of banana and wheat. Massive yeast flavors, plenty of bread and barley field. A little lemon towards the finish. Solid saison, especially for the price.

250ml bottle. Gold with a decent white head and moderate carbonation. Aroma of floral hops with a touch of spice. Light mouth feel with a hint of spice and some hops. Good, but it tailed off towards the finish.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
25cl. bottle at home: Pours lightly hazy deep gold with a timid white head. Wonderful herbal and spicy hop aroma backed up with spicy yeast. Spicy, herbal, flower bomb! Spicy "green" hop character upfront leading to spiced water. Good but too thin after the initial hop flavors. Just that quick flash of spicy herbal hops then almost nothing. Hmm...
