250ml bottle, hazy white-blonde hue, with a thick fluffy white head, light apple, pear fruity yeast nose, with a faint wheat, pale malt, apple strudel dough, light coriander spicy accent, and subtle lemon, faint floral citrus hop note in the aroma follows through on a light-bodied palate with a nice fruity yeasty, doughy, spicy, pale, wheat malty character, with some apple sauce, apple pie crust, coriander, apple strudel dough, stewed pear, honeyed wheat malt flavours, leading towards a fruity, dough yeastiness, spicy coriander, wheat maltiness finish.

UPDATED: AUG 24, 2014 750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 6/13/2013. Pours lightly hazy golden straw color with a 2 finger dense and rocky white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big lemon, pear, apple, white grape, orange peel, white pepper, coriander, wheat, hay, straw, grass, herbal, light funk, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/funky yeast, spices, and pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, white grape, orange peel, coriander, white pepper, lightly tart wheat, hay, straw, grass, herbal, light funk, and yeast earthiness. Some light bready tartness/spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, pear, apple, white grape, orange peel, coriander, wheat, hay, straw, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and robustness of fruity/funky yeast, spices, and pale malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast/spice balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly bready mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice witbier style. All around great complexity and balance of fruity/funky yeast, spices, and pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle. Hazy light amber colour, creamy head. Light malt aroma with some spices and yeast. The flavory is light citrus fruit and yeast, some spices. Unassuming. Not much to report. Over and out.

Dupont’s contribution to the style, organic witbier with cream white, moussy, stable head and pure golden blonde colour, misty. Typical wheaty nose with sweetish barley, citrus and coriander, but also an apply sweetness. Taste begins with this apply accent, citrussy as well, then a very fresh lightly sourish wheat character and refinded, subtle pale maltiness, after the middle spicier (coriander) and in the end a subtle hint of aromatic hops. Gentle and extremely elegant, as any good witbier should be.

250ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, yellow-ish, pale golden colour with average, frothy, diminishing white head. Wheaty aroma, a coriander note, cautious hints of orange zest, a touch of lemon. Taste is minimally sweet, wheaty, coriander, orange zest, a touch of lime and lemon mixture. Strong flavours, classic flavours, slightly clean and controlled.

Enjoyed as Dupont Foret Blanche - 750ml corked and caged bottle purchased at France 44 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. 111223a stamped on label, 2.011 printed on the cork. The pour is a hazed golden yellow with a foamy three inch head. The head falls slower with decent lace. The aroma is citrus, grass and soft spice yeast. There is a hint of skunk initially though it cleared quick enough (three year old green bottle alert!). The taste is herbal medicinal, lemon, hay, grass and brighter spice clove yeast in the back. The palate is medium to light bodied with active carbonation and decent punch of yeast in the finish. This lacks a bit of crispness, though that may have to do with the age.
