3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
25cl bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais. Pale gold hazy thin lasting white head. Estery hoppy aroma, no soap. Good lemon on aroma. Fresh tasting. Almost the perfect aperitif. Good hop on the finish. I wish this was a 750ml bottle. I love this. One of the best Belgian wits I’ve had. Yes I’ve had big Danish and American versions that blow you away with bigness, but ultimately this is a relatively delicate beer and this one does it brilliantly whilst keeping true to the core essence. A truly awesome witbier.

Ben comme son nom l’indique...... En meme temps c’est clairement limpide.
Avec un petit nez agrume. C’est frais en bouche, assez doux avec un leger moelleux. Petite note agrume et épicé.
Rien de grandiloquant.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
this beer had a pale yellow-gold pour with a little haze and it gave a large white creamy, foamy head, the head lasted a long time and receded very little over time, the glass had swirling, twirling center stream of lively carbonation with some single streams elsewhere,
it left nice lacing on the side of the glass, the bottom of the bottle had a ring of dark sediment,
this wit had aromas of wheat, faint lemon and pear fruit, citrus, vanilla like sweetness, some sweet floral notes that were reminisce of wild flowers, dupont yeast (same as what was in the Saison Dupont), and faint spice,
it had flavors of very pale malt and wheat, lemon citrus, and spice in the background, this beer did not have a lot of tartness but it was sort of dry and light on the mouth,
the mouth feel was very light and gave a nice creamy sensation on the palate, it had generous carbonation,
a wit with a decent nose but the flavor was weak, very little tartness or pop to the flavor, it was light on the palate and very easy to drink,
a bit more flavor and tartness this beer would have had a better rating.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Pizza Paradiso, Dupont Circle. Pours a golden pale, herbal notes, not much yeastiness, Body is lively, slight banana notes. Finish is pleasantly dry, long lasting, yeast enters and stays on tongue. Really nice.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
A very, funky, sweet, fruity, and sour aroma. Deep hazy old banana yellow color with a white head. Pours with a lot of dark sediment. Strong, hoos funky yeasty flavor. Sweet, tart, sour and grassy with notes of basement. Lol, yeh that made me laugh too but you know what I mean. Dupont knows beer.

It pours a golden yellow in colour. Because I poured it slowly it created almost no head, due to its low carbonation. Citrus and yeast aroma, a complex flavour with a sour end that is not so pleasant at first but grows on you. A good beer but not extraordinary.
