Bottle. Yellow color, with a good and lasting white head. Aromas of oranges, yeast, coriander. Same elements in the taste that ends with a slight sourness, adding freshness. Medium boy and very lively on the palate. This is sure one of the best belgian whites. I love ’m.

UPDATED: AUG 29, 2008 Oh man, is this a little gem or what?! Peppery yeastyness and a nice whiff of coriander. Way to bitter for the witbier style and I love it! Favourite session beer at the moment. Thank god I ordered plenty.

Pours a hazy pale golden yellow color with a 1.5 finger frothy white head that slowly settles into a lasting ring. Sporadic spots of lacing left behind. Slightly spicy, earthy aroma with a nice balance of funky yeast, bread, alcohol, zesty spice and light fruit. Slight vegetal presence with hints of earthy and grass followed by some peppery coriander and citrus rind. Dupont makes this and the nose shows it. A nice blend of saison and witbier characteristics. Medium bodied with some soft carbonation up front that lingers over the funky, spicy and sweet notes into a slightly dry finish. Again, the saison yeast is very evident with a funky, musty character. Hints of grass and straw countered by some zesty coriander and pepper as well as some citrus/light fruit. Hints of apple, pear and lemon rind give it the perfect amount of sweetness on the back end. Incredibly complex, delicious and extremely quaffable, especially on this 96 degree day. Highly recommended!

One is never enough, on a hot summer day a large glass with two 25cl botles in it is superb, for me this is the best Blanche ever.

25cl bottle from Vanuxeem. A nice cheeky little witte here with all the banana-ry yeast you could wish for and a great hazy quality that borders into German Weisbier territory. Yum yum.

Appearance: cloudy orange butterscotch, thick white head, lots of lace. Aroma: cracked pepper, grass, hay, barnyard, light citrus, ritz crackers, honey, and coriander. Taste: toasted white bread, peppery hops, yeast, citrus, and coriander. Finish: crackery, dry, lingering spicy yeast. Notes: Fantastic wit. More peppery than the usual version in this style, but this was a nice twist. Extremely refreshing, with a creamy but light palate that is just plain outstanding.

Pours a slightly hazy blondish straw color with a big frothy rocky head. Bright aromas of earthy light malts with citrus and herbal & floral notes. On the palate there is a nice fruit mid palate of pear and apple mixed with a heap of herbal great spicy pepper notes on the dry finish.

Bottle at Schiphol. Aroma: Diacetyl, malty, spicy, cloves, a bit phenolic. Nice head, ab bit hazy. Sourish taste, nice balance, a bit umami. Soft, oily, perfect CO2-level, a bit light body. Very nice and balanced beer with a bit to much diacetyl for my taste.

Bottle. Cork comes out with a loud pop. Pours a hazy creamy dark yellow with a fizzy bonewhite head. aroma of potent, bright crisp grass, lemongrass, orangepeel, slight hint of solvent. rustic wild flowers. old farm. and a touch of plastic. Aroma>> taste. taste is more in line with typical belgian white characteristics. some light spice notes - coriander, more orange peel. dusty, sodapop fizz in the mouth. watery orange soda pop. initial aroma is quite nice. very nice actually. taste provides a nice backdrop for the aroma, but falls a bit flat. quite good though. surprised at the low marks. got better throughout the bottle. like.
