Bottled, vintage 2004. Large frothy head, fully lasting. Cumin in the aroma. Dry texture. Very distinct cardamon flavor with few herbs and some malty sweetness. A noble beer, yet “one-dimensional” (right definition!).

Bottled, 2004 vintage. Aroma is very malty with cardamon and a hint of lemon. Dark yellow color, white head, good lace. Sweet, cardomon, bitter, medium body. Technically very much ok but onedimensional.

Bottle. Hazy golden yellow, witha slim & steady white head. Aroma is sweet, fruity and spicey with honey. Flavour is very spicey, lots of fruit and particularly honey. Big alcohol hit in the finish, which warms on the way down. Medium bodied, highly carbonated. Interesting, but a bit rough around the edges.

Yellow, golden coloured one. First traditional ale I’ve had. And it was a nice one. Unusual balanced, therefor interesting taste. Spicy with a bit sweetness and bitterness.

If this is the stuff they drank in the Roman Empire (Cervesia is supposed to be Latin for beer), they did a good job! Cloudy golden brown color, medium off-white head. Aroma of yeast, grapes, wheat. Bit sweet and spicy taste, crisp, yeasty. Heavy on the stomach, not a session ale for me. Another fine brew by Dupont.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Golden blond with rocky white head. Overpowering aroma of spices and honey, reflected in the taste, which is a little too sweet and honey laden for my palate. Interesting and unusual stuff, though.

Very yasty nose, along with various spices. Golden colored body, medium white head. Spciy flavor, malts and quite yeasty.

JensenTaster (1718) - DENMARK - AUG 4, 2005
UPDATED: JAN 11, 2007 (on bottle)This must be the extreme picture of the turm "barnyard", heavy, cardboardish, swetty and haylike aroma. No head and a hazy pale orange colour. Malted taste, barly all over, some kandis and a small vink of sourness in finish. RERATING JAN.2007 FROM 3.2 TO 3.9.

Draft in Brugge. Clear deep golden color with a creamy white head that left good lacing. Yeasty sweet aroma, herby with chamomille, marjoram, hay and light floral hops. Sweet and bready, more herbiness, yeast, pepper and a noticible alcohol bite. Smooth, full body and creamy carbonation.

Amber colour with a large but soapy white head. Malty and yeasty aroma with a caramel sweetness. Malty and spicy flavor with flower notes and a dry finish.
