3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear, pale yellow with a foamy, white head that’s quickly dissipating. Yeasty, fruity aroma, coriander, banana, citrusy notes. Thin, slightly dry, very light bitterness. Watery, light body, medium carbonation. Refreshing, drinkable, nothing to complain about, but nothing worth remembering either.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from SB.
Slight hazy yellow colour with a short off white head.
Yeasty, bready, fruity and herbal aroma with citrus, basil, koriander, hints of banana, straw.
Fairly crisp citrusy flavour with a yeasty bready backbone. Lemon, coriander, basil, hay and banana peel.
Light body, soft carbonation, watery texture.
Simple. Fairly refreshing. One of the more boring efforts from Dupont IMO.

Yellow body with a hint of orange colour and a head that is incredibly foamy and white. Light sediment in the beer. Aroma is somewhat spiced but not strong enough to pick out the flavours. Body is quite tart with strong apple flavours with hints of sugar and cinnamon.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught and bottle circa 2007/2008 as the purple bottle Foret Blanche label
Not quite as much of a massive head as the usual Dupont produces, though still fairly well-retained (assumedly the spices are to blame). Brilliant pale golden colored body is moderately hazy.
Very artfully done spicing in the nose only sits in the background giving a mild citric feel to the nose, while dry, lightly tart wheat and biscuity malts play about. Hints of honey, but it’s quite dry, which is wonderful as nobody likes a sweet, bubble-gummy wit....
Watery texture, with ample, lively carbonation and a soft, supple wheat-like character. Peppery and citrus spice both intermingle with the phenols and esters and it’s tough to differentiate at times, which is impressive. Dry, tart and quite biscuity/bready. Sure, nothing jumps out at you here, and it’s not flashy (it’s just a wit bier) but what can you really find fault with here? Very, very well-done and very refreshing.
