4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle at Delirium Hoppy Loft on 12th November 2012. Virtually black with a light tan head and spot lacing. Rich roast coffee aroma, with smokiness in background. Delectable roasts in mouth; cigar smoke and coffee. Roasty finish with smoke and delicate citrus. Zingy mouthfeel, a little less body than expected for a 5.2 stout, nevertheless full of flavour. I have taken into account how much better it would taste if NOT served at fridge temperature - it would do well at around 15C.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Rerun of a sweet stout dating back to a time when the style was still very popular in Belgium - now it is as good as forgotten here. Thin, beige, creamy head, near black colour with bronze hue. Aroma of coffee, sherry, red berries, bitter chocolate, hay, toasted bread; candied fruits in the taste, yeasty, chocolate maltiness, toasted with a mild roasted bitterness in the end. Not nearly as sweet as this genre of stouts usually were / are, but very interesting - it’s a Dupont beer after all, so I hadn’t expected anything less.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
BOTTLE 33CL from dcmchew. Thanks!
Look: almost black with some faint ruby highlights, big beige head with good retention.
Aroma: black malts, toasty, a little barnyardy, sheep cheese. When it warms up, you get a bit ore sweetness and even some chocolate. Some fresh cut pumpkin too.
Taste: roasty, light sweetness and coffee. Bretty and green fruit acid „spice”. The finish is moderately bitter with some charcoal.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Black with a pillowy tan head. The aroma has notes of fruit, some roasted malt, chocolate malt, mash tun, and yeast. The flavour is more fruity, a little dark malt, a slightly ashy note, not much going on.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Noire collet moyen de grosses bulles.
Aromes bien marqué de chocolat et autre malt torréfiés.
En bouche c’est plus le café qui ressort.
Malheureusement servie trop fraiche je ne peux pas tout ressentir.
Final long et amer.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
It has awesome aroma of coffee, dark tanned malts and delicate tiny sour note. It’s completely dark, non-transparent, with big head. In taste it also has a lot of coffee with very long aftertaste. Has a small body which ends very quickly. But it leaves super pleasant bitterness which gives this great mouth feel.

weirdish stout, dry and a bit sour... aroma has some chocolat and roasted malts but also lots of weird yeasts... low fizzy carbs, reasonable body... dark finish
