Amber bodied with a modest ecru head and spotty lace, this ale had an aroma of grapefruit and zest, some floral scents, and a light malt sweetness. The flavor was hop forward, more of the grapefruit and zest, with a moderate level of bitterness and some soft caramel sweetness. Not bad, quaffable, but rather mild for the IPA category. It definitely needs more hop bite.

Bottle. Nice aroma: spicy, citrusy hints of tropical fruit and something I’ll call candied banana. Taste is composed of a quick shot of sweet caramel, spice followed by a long grapefruit bitterness. Fizzy and light without being watery. Pretty solid IPA though, not sure either why this gets low ratings. I’m not a huge fan of the grapefruit bitterness but I take it as part of the AIPA style these days.

12oz bottle. Pours a very hazy golden color with foamy off-white head. Aroma is floral hops with a touch of citrus. Flavor is mellowly bitter. Medium bodied with smooth finish. Not bad, but certainly not my favorite.

Clear amber color out of the bottle with a thin off white color. Light grapefruit rind nose. Flavorful grapefruit rind, orange juice and coarse bread flavors. Very nice if typical Pacific Northwest IPA.

Pours orange with off white froth. Aroma of spicy hops, some citrus notes. Medium bodied and nicely balanced while still retaining AIPA characteristics. Flavor of orange, caramel. Refreshing and tasty.

Pour on tap at the Denver Summer Brew Fest, hazy golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of muddled citrus, biscuit, caramel, some slight grass and spicy notes, fairly plain. Taste is a mix of biscuit, bread and caramel, some slight grass, spice notes, with a hint of sweet orange, finishing with some grassy pine bitterness.

Pours a slightly hazy burnt orange color. Nice white frothy head on top. Looks great, now for the aroma. Aroma is mostly floral with some sweet citrus in there...some malt aroma but light compared to the hops. Taste is good, not spectacular, but a solid IPA. Good balance for the style, not a hop bomb, but it was bottled and not sure when.
