Golden pour with thick frothy white head. Aroma of freshly baked bread, herbs, light citrus and clove. Really enjoyable flavor up front. Round and full but finish fades to a strage finish. Warming.

Bottle shared by Dogbrick at the Eurostash III tasting on 1/12/12. Clear yellow/gold pour with a huge off-white head. Aroma of dank malt, grassy hops and some Belgian esters. Sweet malt flavor with banana, somewhat of a trappist yeast flavor with a honey sweet finish.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Dogbrick (4843) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JAN 21, 2012
Sample at Eurostash III tasting on 01/12/2012: Pours a clear golden color with a medium foamy white head that dissipates steadily. Small patches of lacing on the glass. The aroma has notes of sweet fruits and spices along with some banana. Medium body with a sweet yeast character and notes of bananas and sweet spice plus some bready malt. The finish is sweet with a yeast aftertaste. Pretty average all around.

Bottle big thanks to Aaron for opening this! Pour was hazy orange with white head, aroma had notes of slight booze, hints of orange, fruit, touch of spice and biscuit notes, and a hint of grass. Taste is sweet orange and candied fruit, touch of spice, earthy and grass notes, finishing fairly sweet with a hint of booze. Not bad, but something was a bit off overall.

Bottle @ home. Cloudy, orange appearance with a huge, off white head. Tangy, wild yeasty, orange citrusy, somewhat sour aroma. Tangy, lemon orange citrusy, wild yeasty, weird flavor. Really not good.

picked this up at wagon wheel in durango and shared with the crew 7/29/10.
nice looking golden orange pour with a big ’ol wispy white head.
plastic-y nose.... tons of banana, yeasty florals (in a mean bad way), peppery spiciness and some orange/citrus.
the flavor is kinda the same only it’s more like drinking a battery. the medium body is fizzy and harshly carbonated. 4/4/3/2/8-

750 ml. bottle, corked and caged. Served at cellar temperature. Pours a enormous, long lasting, fluffy white head, with extensive lacing, over a slightly hazy golden (SRM 5) body.....nose is light pear, apple, slight spice.....taste is sharp and hot to start, with attendant bitterness, then evolves to light allspice, cardamom, light fruit (apple, pear) finishing with the barest hint of floral honey, and a bit of funk.....mouth feel is light, but hot, carbonation dominates with tremendous frothy foam filling the mouth. It is too bad this beer is off type. The alcohol dominates, and hides what might be some nice flavors. The carbonation makes it difficult to really taste what good there is. BJCP 7/3/10/3/6
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 wchesser (338) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JAN 23, 2011
Started out pretty flat, but really opened up with air. Nice belgian notes. Mostly banana on the nose. Slightly cloudy. Tasty brew. Personally would have liked just a tad more hop bitterness on the finish, but they went more true to the style.

Bottle.
Head is initially large, frothy/fizzy, white, mostly lasting.
Body is hazy medium to dark yellow.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers), with a strong note of insecticide and acetone, lesser notes of coriander, plastic, gum, pepper.
Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, unclean.
Medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation, moderately alcoholic.
Horrible. Probably the most higher-alcohol-ruined beer I’ve had in years (although I’ve tried plenty of meads this bad)...overwhelming notes of bug spray and nail polish remover, truly awful. There are some pleasant notes underneath, but this is quite simply a mistake. I ventured a couple sips, but spat the third out. Dirty aftertaste and the realization that this would do bodily harm provoked a quick dismissal to the sink. Nice appearance is really the only redeeming factor.
