COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mainly available Bottle Conditioned. Has appeared on cask occasionally.
Full bodied Maris Otter malt with a small addition of wheat and Vienna malt are aromatised by a typical Belgian charge of coriander. The result is a smooth, sweetish, luscious and fruity experience. The peach and orange notes of the malt base are enhanced by the judicious use of a single American hop, centennial. A very satisfying beer with a Belgian character.

Bottle, from BOE, split at Colin and the Vikings tasting, Nol, Goteborg, Sweden 22/03/14. Lightly hazed golden amber with a good sized off white head. Nose is dark stoned fruits, ripe orange, spice, caramel, bubblegum, mandarin, peach, candyfloss. Taste comprises dark fruit rinds, citric peel, bitter orange, spice, toffee, candied orange peel. Medium + body, fine carbonation, drying close. Solid enough offering for the style.

Nocturne (632) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - APR 11, 2014
500ml bottle. Gusher! Pours orange with a patchy head. Aroma of bread, lemon, orange, candi sugar, floral, herbs. Loads of stuff going on here. Taste is candied citrus, banana, hint of floral elements. Sadly a step down in taste from the aroma. Just seems rougher and less rounded, not like the best Belgian examples. Despite that a pretty solid effort.

Bottle. Aroma grapefruit, orange, mostly hoppy. Lightly spicy. Clear deep golden colour. Taste is nicely spicy with alcohol, sweet. Light body (considering what it is) and easily drinkable.

Bottle at the "Colin and the Vikings tasting, Goteborg". Poured a hazy straw with a thin broken white head. The aroma is rich fruit malt boozy alcohol. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a hear burning alcoholic hop floral palate and a long bitter finish. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation and a frothy mouthfeel.

Bottled 50cl. Purchased in Drinks of the World, Zurich. Darker in color than your average Abbey Tripel. Tall creamy head, high carbonation. Strong Belgian yeast presence, some coriander sneaking in. Full bodied, fruity. I wasn’t enshrined by grace drinking Bedes Chalice. Almost qualifies for a Belgian Strong Ale to my tastes. Decent and without major flaws.

Bottle @ home. Aroma is some herbal hops, fruity malty and yeasty notes. Flavour is sweet and malty at first, then some spicy hops and a light liquorice and yeasty finish.
