COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mainly available Bottle Conditioned. Has appeared on cask occasionally.
Full bodied Maris Otter malt with a small addition of wheat and Vienna malt are aromatised by a typical Belgian charge of coriander. The result is a smooth, sweetish, luscious and fruity experience. The peach and orange notes of the malt base are enhanced by the judicious use of a single American hop, centennial. A very satisfying beer with a Belgian character.

This is an interesting Belgian Triple style beer that I prefer to some Belgian Triples from Belgium! The mouthfeel is very syrupy and there is a spiced or herbal taste which i can’t define. A top quality Durham beer.

A foamer. Quality fruity yeast, cloudy orange fruit coloured body with lace dots and Caesar retained head. Boozy in finish and in the aroma, still nicely drinkable nightcap.Above average mouthfeel. Thanks Presario.

Bottle at home. Mid amber with fine carbonation and fluffy whit ehead. Orange, earthy yeast, sweet malt nose. Rich malt, satsuma, sweet and spicy, light bodied, hidden alcohol which is visible as legs. Slight lemon in finish. A lovely tripel.

Not a million miles away from the brewer’s excellent Benedictus barley wine, perhaps with a dash of Cointreau thrown in. Peachy gold in colour with a towering marshmallow head. Similar aroma to Benedictus but not as ripe or clean. Sweet with rough-cut Seville marmalade and some soapy notes. Bottle-conditioned with a result that seemed oily and a tad lifeless. Thinned in the swallow. Very sweet on the tongue and hotter than Benedictus. Very much liquid oranges in the mouth with a mouth-watering juicy finish. A fair tripel. (500ml bottle from Platinum Cellars. BB Oct 2009)

Bottle. Hazy gold. No head. Nose of coriander, toffee and sweet honey. In the mouth, more honey, more coriander, orange peel, melon. Lovely lush fresh tastes. Grapefruit. Finish very sweet, almost too much. I'd be interested in trying another of these.

Bottle from brewery. No head, a little carbonation. Lots of sweet orange and coriander in their take on a tripel. Pretty good too. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, that once opened, threatened to gush but only emptied its neck down the side of the bottle before I got it into the glass. Needless to say, this beer is GASSY. Medium honey colour, crazy white crown that actually collapses rather quickly and doesn’t leave any lace. Aroma is sweet, more like peaches-in-syrup than fresh peaches, and lightly phenolic. The flavours seem simple and overly sweet to me, with the same fruit character and a little spice. Mild bitterness in the finish. I’m not a fan of tripels in general, and this one seemed mediocre at best.

A clear golden colored beer, with a small foamy white head. The aroma of some fruits with notes of hops. The taste of a lot of fruits, like peaches, malts with a nice hop bitter. The aftertaste is bittersweet.

50 cl bottle, Sheffield, UK via The Dram Shop. Hazy greyish apricot appearance. Intense orange rind citrus aroma, heavy fruit with peach, nectarine, and some prune. Sweet, very little alcohol detectable for the strength. Coriander and honey on the finish.
