Deep brown colour with a creamy off-white head. The aroma is subtle, but some roasted coffee and bitter chocolate notes come though. Body is creamy, but a touch too thin. Flavour is very satisfying, with the same coffee & chocolate notes that are in the aroma, plus something that strangely reminded me of blackberry, and subtle hints of hop in the finish.

Dark brown, creamy head. Malty, but the aroma was too fresh. Medium body, slightly acidic, some coffee was found.

A good well put together stout. I found it quite enjoyable. It has the typical stout appearance, maybe on the black side as the head colour seems to indicate. Nose of chocolate and coffee roastiness. The same flavours are tasted. There is a very light cardboard finish (oxidation). Otherwise a totally satisfying stout.

Cartoonkhaki (1177) - Brantford, Ontario, CANADA - APR 6, 2003
Slight burnt aroma, nothing special. Dark brown with a nice creamy head. Bitters that like to hang off the sides of your tounge, burnt and nutty, light hop. Not harsh. Very creamy on the palate.

Dark brown w/ thick, creamy head. Some coffee & bitter chocolate on the nose. Creamy feel, a little thin for style. Mildy earthy, nutty, burnt coffee, & bitter chocolate flavour.

Mild coffee aroma, deep brown, ruby at the edge, small toffee head. Chocolate, some coffee and burnt toast flavour, with a touch of bitterness. Bitter, roasted and smooth? A fair Stout.

Light brown appearance. Some roasty notes, light hops and a touch of smoke. Bland stout.

Toasty, brown malt flavours, light hop notes and a chocolate milk sweetness. Too bad about the nitrogen, though.
