Slacks (355), Bolton, Ontario, Canada Feb 18, 2008 Cask @ Volo Cask Days 2007: Poured pitch black, beige head that clung to my glass in pleasing fashion. Aroma was sweet, like lightly burnt toffee, with espresso and chocolate. All these flavours came through on my first sip, a well balanced blend of burnt sugar, coffee, chocolate, and very light hopping. I always seem to enjoy this brewery, I should seek it out more often.
Imperial-John (73), Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Apr 9, 2008 On tap at Rhino, westend Toronto. Black with off-white small head. Faint choco aroma. Too clean tasting stout, not tasty enough for me but very easy drinking so makes for a good starter if you’re thirsty. shintriad (639), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Mar 14, 2008 Updated: Apr 11, 2008Surprisingly hoppy for a stout. Smooth and syrupy. Toasty malt and coffee presence is very apparent. I like! cyrenaica (252), Milton, Ontario, Canada Mar 8, 2008 16oz draught

I tried this beer on January 28, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe’s" in Toronto. The beer was dark brown/black in the glass with a thin, creamy light brown head. The aroma was roasted malt. chocolate, and raisin. The mouthfeel was full-bodied, creamy, with medium carbonation. The flavour was roasted malt, a little coffee, and a little licorice. garthicus (515), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Feb 23, 2008 Tap -Smokeless Joes. Beautiful creamy brown head, black body. Perhaps I was having an off night but I could barely detect much of an aroma from this, some coffee and malt but I will try again the next time. Mild bitter malt flavour, very satisfying finish, I could drink this all day long.
