3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 downender (4389) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - NOV 30, 2008
Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 29/11/08. Deep golden in colour with a slight white head. Fruity aroma of oranges, some all spice and a hint of yeast. Flavour was sweetish, with plenty of malt, some citrus hops to follow and a decent dry finish. Good.

Pale blonde pint, thin white head. Starts off a nice lemon-hoppy bitter ale, but there’s an sour wheaty edge to this that I find odd. Finish is reasonably bitter and sharp. Not bad but I’m not sure about the wheaty edge.

From cask at Three Judges. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Light alty and fruity aroma. Flavur is quit fruity. Marmelade like and light citrusy. Mild overripe note of fruit flavours. Mild caramel malt base too. Light bitternes into the finish. Mild spiced too.
