A good robust bitter. Some crystal malt gives a slight golden colour while a dry rich hoppy bitterness makes for a refreshing experience.

Bottle at home. Pale orange amber, bubbly off-white head fades to barely anything. Fruity apricot, hint of grassy apple hop, sweet malt nose. Palate is dry and spiced, hints of pepper, some caramel, slight phenolic notes, soft grassy peppery bitter finish. Not bad.

Bottle at home. Nice reddish-gold colour. Breezy aromas with a little hoppy marmalade and some banana. Flavours of apple and some weirdly pleasant aromatic flavours, like lavender or camomile. Goes down nicely. Very agreeable.

Bottled: Hazy, pale amber to orange color, creamy head. Light malty, hoppy aroma with notes of berries, citrus and sweetness. Flavor is mainly hoppy, also some malt sweetness and fruitiness. Nice dry, hoppy finish. Good brew but a bit thin.

Bottle. Dark golden amber with a thick creamy head and lacing growing like mold on the glass. Light hop scent. Creamy body. A hint of sourness. Some nice grapefruit notes and hop spice mixed with a soft sandy malt.

UPDATED: OCT 17, 2011 pours a slightly hazy amber with a thin white head, good lacing. aroma packs a punch of citrus with a specific grapefruit tinge. in the mouth it is bitter and prickly on the tongue. tastes much more alcoholic than it is. another really good beer from Durham

Golden colored beer with a thick foamy white head. Flinty nose with hop pellet notes. Very carbonated and tingley on the tongue. Mineral flavors with nice bread crust. There are lots of hops in this beer, with bitter grapefruit rind and some green grass in the finish. This is a full flavored blond ale.

500ml bottle from The Bottle Shop, Canterbury. Hazy orange gold colour with thick off white head. Attractive initial hop aroma. More grassy hop in the mouth. Good initial sherbert hop up top, but then in the mouth the flavours get a little muddied with then a grassy hop finish. Starts well but tails off as the flavours in the mouth are not in harmony for me.

A clear yellow colored beer, with a thick white head. The aroma of fruity sweet with berries. Some vanilla and orange. The taste is bitter of hops, fruity, dry. Hints of vanilla. The aftertaste is dry bitter with some sweets.

Golden with orange hues and a creamy lasting white head. Nice hoppy nose, fresh and inviting, very quenching and perfectly balanced between a sweet fruity and a bitter peppery end.
