Bottle conditioned. Available occasionally on cask as Priors Gold.
A good robust bitter. Some crystal malt gives a slight golden colour while a dry rich hoppy bitterness makes for a refreshing experience.

Bottle conditioned. Light gold colour with large white head that lasted throughout. Nice Citrus (grapefruit) and malt aroma with a hint of flowers. Good balance of malt and hop in the taste with the hoppiness just winning out. Good long, dry finish. An excellent all-rounder.

Fantastic beer, glad I found this brewery. 2 beers tried, both a 5 star. Can’t wait for the next one to try from this brewery.

500 ml bottle, bought in Scarborough. ABV is 4.5%. Bottle conditioned. Deep golden colour, huge white head. Lovely hoppy aroma with notes of citrus / grapefruit and pineapple. The flavour is also distinctly hoppy throughout, with grapefruity notes, but there is also a tolerable malty base. Refreshing, even though I drank it a bit too warm. The excellent Durham Brewery proves they can brew good beers with a moderate ABV too.

Good pale ale appearance with a malty/lemony/alcoholic aroma. The flavour is hopped with a dry and slightly citric finish. A very good beer.

Another cracking beer from Durham. Bottle conditioned from Open All Hours, Keswick. Sparkling, golden, rocky persistant head. Aroma delightful - grapefruit, spice, hint of yeast. Goes down a treat with a long dry finish. Yummy.

Golden with orange hues and a creamy lasting white head. Nice hoppy nose, fresh and inviting, very quenching and perfectly balanced between a sweet fruity and a bitter peppery end.

Warm golden with a huge head. The aroma is very nice and the aroma hops is noticeable in the room. The flavour is a basket full of fruits with a lot of different citrus fruits. I also find notes of caramel and a light sweetness. The bitterness is just right for this beer, that is really nice!!

Bottle. Unclear golden color with a large, mountain-like, white head and lace. Quite hoppy, fruity and piney, notes of leather, long bitter finish. A lovely ale.

courtesy of Toni Flükiger - hazy golden-orange colour, little firm and persistent pale beige foam; fairly hoppy flowery nose, creamy mouthfeel, medium-bodied and with a light astringence; a pronounced bitterness introduces a dry fruity and bitter, long hoppy finish

Bottle conditioned. Faintly hazy gold colour, good white head and good condition. Good grapefruit hop aromas, some flowery perfume notes, a hint of yeast and a suggestion of peardrops. More hoppiness in the mouth, with the grapefruit mingling with pine resin and some more low yeast. Aftertaste is long, dry and hop bitter.
