COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
The palest malts are bittered and aromatized by a complex addition of a unique blend of hops. English, Czech and American hops mingle throughout the boil to give a heady flowery aroma, and a dry citrus flavour, enhanced by a refreshing degree of bitterness. Despite its complexity this beer is clean and thirst quenching.

A hazy light orange beer with a fine dense head. The aroma is sweet spicy with coriander and grass standing out. The flavor is very hoppy, grassy, and oily. A surprisingly good beer, that I'd categorize as an IPA.

Golden coloured. Nicely hopped aroma of peaches, apricots and some grass. Hoppy flavour with plenty of bitterness. A very pleasant and hoppy brew.

Reallay dry, dry malts, dry hoppy finish, earthy slightly metallic finish, real dry grainyness, lemon and banana.

Nuffield (3087) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - JUL 27, 2003
Light yellow color, hazy when you pour the generous yeast from the bottle, little carbonation in body but a big fluffy, white head. Hoppy, floral, if a bit one-dimensional aroma. Very very dry, bit of an astringent, metallic edge that fades a bit, leaving wheat but a longing for something other than bitterness.

SilkTork (4737) - Rochester, Kent, United Kingdom, WALES - JUN 15, 2003
UPDATED: JUL 27, 2003 Bottle conditioned. Hazy thin amber. Tendrils of orange vines shoot up the nose, nestling warm and spicy under the eyes, pulsating like an Alien larva ready to feed. Soft, juicy and natural mouthfeel as the waters of Pishon and Gihon must have tasted. A hop, skip and dance of young, throbbingly naked yet obscenely chaste, citric sprites leads to an initially watery then briefly bitter finish. Spent on the early desire. [3.4]
Re-rate. Bottle Conditioned, with Nuffield & Duff. Extremely dry. Citric hops and wheat in an English Pale style - a Golden Summer Ale. [3.2]
The Durham Brewery was founded in 1994 by ex-music teachers Steve & Christine Gibbs.

rauchbier (3205) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - JUN 4, 2003
Bottle conditioned. Straw gold, good white head and moderate condition. Chunky thick dark yeast sediment. Hops mingled with fruity yeast in the nose, Grapefruit and yeast in the mouth along with a slight phenolic taint. Quite sweet in the finish but with a good hop bitterness.
