3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask (handpump) at GBBF, August 2006. Pale gold colour. No head to speak of. Plenty of leafy, herbaceous hop character in the aroma. Flavours are more restrained but there’s still a clean, fresh citrus hop presence. Clean and easy-drinking mouthfeel. Subtle but quite nice.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20
Flat dull golden offering that looks just like a cider. Subtle sweaty, floral and limey hops are alone in the aroma. Remarkably absent malts ensure a palate as thin as it gets and extremely watery to boot. Globally shy hop character only shines since the malts are so weak. Quite dull for a cask ale, especially from Durham.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2007, London. Clear light to medium yellow color with a small, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate hoppy, flowers, light malty, toasted. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. (Refreshing but a little thin). Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat.
