Dark raspberry Saison. Raspberry juice and stem ginger mingle with dark malts and Saison yeast. Semi-sour and refreshing with a hint of ginger. Rich raspberry with a clean, dry finish. This beer started off life as a collaboration with BrewDog Bar Newcastle. We matured this half of the brew and added more raspberry and ginger to create a really tasty Saison. Bottle Conditioned. Limited release of 1500 bottles.

Bottle from the brewery, via allmyvinyl. Appearance - itís a massive gusher and Iíve just lost 30% to 40% of it. Then it settles to a nicely proportioned fawn head over a dark brown body. Nose - well, itís smelling great, as I try to dry the puddle on my dining room floor. Big raspberry or cherry note for sure, almost lebekuchen in fact! Searching deeper, and I know theyíve used a Belgian yeast here, but thereís a hint of an additional wild yeast in there. Taste - more raspberries or even sweeter red fruit and a sweet biscuit thing too. Like those pink wafer biscuits that you get in the Christmas variety biscuit packs. Just a touch of chocolate from the malt, is lurking in the background too. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a balanced dry finish. Overall - Iím kind of annoyed as Iíve lost some of my beer and as I really didnít expect a gusher from a very well regarded brewery such as this.

500ml bottle. Raspbeery Saison. Clear dark red-brown colour, large frothy beige foam head leaving some lacing and aroma of juicy raspberries & cream, roast malty, tart fruity. Taste is malt with roast & light coffee notes plus sour berry fruits, raspberry, woody. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, sourish fruity finish. Lovely aroma and nicely drinkable.

Bottle at Craigís. Pours hazy brown, thin tan head. Aromas of raspberry and roast. Light spice. Taste is more of the same, light tart sourness. Not bad, but lacking a little something.

Light opaque brown, frothy lasting greyish white head. Sugary sorbet raspberry and soft roast. Frilly raspberry, chewy jam and overdone toast. Dark malts adds a decadent buffer rather than this being quenching and smashable. However, really drops off towards the finish, dry and tangy.

Bottle, Letís Go Digita Tasting

Bottle. Burnt Liquorice on the nose with a hint of sweet fruit. Lovely dark red colour with a cream head. Quite fizzy with a wheaty rasberry flavour, fairly smooth and creamy in the mouth.
