COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Seasonal - Winter.
A rich ruby coloured old ale. Smooth and easy with traditional Goldings and Fuggles hops. Named after the Sanctuary knocker at Durham Cathedral.

1. Cask Stillage from the Cellar at Ye Olde Dolphin, Derby 24/02/2006 2. Cask Handpump at the Smithfield Hotel, Manchester 05/04/2010 Malt aroma. Bronze mid brown coloured strong in alcohol fruity and rich on the palate with a hint of spiced flavour. A little dryness and bitterness in a malt finish.

Cask in 3 Judges. Aroma is sweet malts, caramalt, hints of candy sugar, spice and small citrus note. Taste is also sweet, very typical of durham, biscuity and cllar note in the finish.
