beautiful English pale. The story here is malts, in abundance that are incredible for the ABV. Toasty and flavorful.

341 ml bottle from a trade with jessem. pours clear amber with a small and short white head. english malt nose, quite fruity, light hopping, wonderful. flavour are the same as the aroma with a bitter finish. english pale through and through. perfect palate for the style. a great beer, this will become my new go to local brew. i wish this brewery would bottle more of their stuff. thanks for the bottle jesse.

UPDATED: MAR 10, 2005 A really nice surpirse. Dark/golden ale with a sweet, floral and malt aroma. Really mouthwatering. The taste doesn’t disappoint. A few citrus notes mixed in with a nice dose of hops. Great aftertaste - some bitterness and very refreshing. Already stocked up - that’s how much I ike this ale. This ale is going to be a standard choice of mine.

UPDATED: MAY 17, 2008 341ml bottle from the beer store. I was really pleased to see the date of packaging was only a month ago, which for my beer store (Bleams Rd. Kitchener) is practically fresh from the brewery (on some other boxes there’s still some best before dates of 2007). Pours a nice golden amber colour with a rich, off white head (great lace as you drink), and moderate effervescence. Aroma is of nice toffee malts, a little grainy, and defined by decent hop character. Flavour is more of the same with a bit more going on, great refeshing malts accompanied by just the right amount of hop presence. Nice, slightly slick mouth-feel, surprising for something as light and drinkable as this. This is a great summer session brew if you’re looking for something other than a good pilsener. I really wish more beers from this brewery were available in my area!

Unassuming bottle and beer. Light aroma. Average looking but a beautiful flavourful mix of hops, malt and bitterness. An excellent beer. Thanks to Mr_Kimchee for the exchange.

A gem in Ontario brewing. Appearance is a light amber body with white froth on top. Crystal clear with low-to-medium carbonation. Citrus, a little pine and a good amount of sweetness are all well balanced in the aroma. Flavour has sweet, sweet malts, grapefuit and grains all mixing together, finishing with a great hop kick. Slick mouthfeel perfect for style. Much more of a Wesrt Coast Pale Ale than an English Pale Ale. Super.

Deliciously enticing smoked toffee apples bathing in butter pools...The lusciously thick aroma is betrayed though by the thinner-than-announced mouthfeel...The tranquilizing citrusy hops mingle with caramel and peach syrup to create great sweet/bitter, assertive/subtle equilibriums...I think I'll go smell the bottle a bit...Hurray for CapFlu!...

341mL bottle from the Beer Store. Six-pack packaged on April 4th, 2008. Pours orange amber with a fluffy, cream-coloured head. Aroma is of sweet malt and a touch of floral hop. Flavour is of toffee-like caramel malts, a mild, grassy bitterness from the hops, and a full, moderately carbonated mouthfeel. Very tasty and refreshing.

better on cask than in the bottle, but the bottle isn’t bad either. very fruity malt, and hoppy enough. I was addicted to this at one point.
