3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This ale poured a deep amber colour with a big, beautiful off white head. To the nose there are scents of caramel, spice, light grass and basement. First sip had med/low carbonation with flavours of caramel, hay, resin hop flavor and a little smoke. Finish is med bitter with roasty malt flavor lingering.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
beautiful English pale. The story here is malts, in abundance that are incredible for the ABV. Toasty and flavorful.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml bottle. Clear copper body, small beige head with good retention. A sweet malty British aroma: caramel, malt, honey, plums and apricots, bread. Taste is somehow bolder: caramel malt, a decent amount of herbal hops, a little resinous and sour notes. Very decent.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours tall & sassy in the glass, with a lush one finger cap. First sip brings me a whole bunch of confusion: beneath the rich malts & middle of the road hopping there’s an ugly sour blemish (a reviewer below me accurately describes it as yogurt-like) . Dig deeper & there’s also a slightly coppery twang in the after taste that reminds me of Steam Whistle’s blood in the mouth problem. That’s two strikes. Fix these two flaws & we may have something. A great looking pour, but as we all learn at the bar - looks can be deceiving. In fact, if you read the last ten or so reviews, there is a consistant complaint of something being off. Bad batch alert.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500 mL bottle. Pours copper pipe with a thick white head that dissipates. Nice British style caramel malt, butter toffee, black tea, cedar and herb. Lightly sweet with enough bitterness to balance it out. Light to moderate body, moderate carbonation and somewhat creamy palate. Seems very fresh. Super sessionable.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
bottle. clear coppery colour with a foamy with head that last a whiles enough. Fairly expressive aroma with classic malts, caramel, biscuit and some floral hops but there is a touch of yeast on this that isn’t pleasant. On the palate those caramel like notes dominate this medium bodied brew that sports a fast finish and overall watery mid palate. It is all about those malty and caramel notes. Not as bad a beer as expected.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
bottle. Poured slightly hazy, deep amber with a creamy beige head. Tart citrus aroma with bready malt. Medium-light body, average carbonation, dry finish. Tart and bitter grapefruit right away with pepper and woody malt notes.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
500 mL bottle from LCBO served cool in a tulip glass. Hazy deep amber with a tight, light tan head. Quite floral, spicy, nice, toasted bread crust, maybe a hint of toffee, some citrus, quite inviting. Megyn body, prickly, sparse carbonation. Something isn’t right, tangy, almost acidic, slight burnt nuts, still has done decent malt and hops character, but this must have a light infection; dry with fair bitterness, unfortunate tang and a pleasantly malty finish. Will grab another bottle some time.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Pours hazy copper, off-white head. Nose is EKG, mineral water, lemon... Sprite? Flavour is slight lemon, biscuit, berry. Tinny, thin.
