Lacks character compared to the Bombay 106, perfectly pleasant but could do with more hops

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 patricks110 (822) - Alberta, CANADA - DEC 7, 2011
St. Cuthburt pours a sparkly, bright orange copperish body with a foamy off white head. Lovely carbonation with some spotty lacing and a overly unimpressive head. The nose is fruity and lightly hopped with a light breasdy malt and a fuzzy peach esque note. A hint of white sugar and light citrus. The taste is sweet and lightly malted with an overly fruity taste. Very subtle notes of lemon, grass, wheat, apricot and peach. Nothing in the taste compares to the nose. A nice, crisp finish with a light hop. St. Cuthbert has a medium body with some soft carbonation and a light subtle aftertaste of bitter hops. This is an okay brew, but nothing comparable to an IPA. The peachy sweet taste is lovely, but it is missing all the bitterness and hop character.
