Our interpretation of an India Pale Ale. Not too bitter with extra aroma hops for interest.
Ingredients: Maris Otter and Crystal malts; Challenger, Target, Columbus, Golding and Saaz hops.

500ml bottle. Pours a deep gold with a large head. Aroma is sherbet lemon, orange and bready malt underneath. Taste has some straw malt. Bitter marmalade. Sharp bitter finish. Lemon on the aftertaste. Prickly carbonation.

500ml brown bottle. Golden pour, hazy. Thin white cap despite a vigourous pour. Malty nose, caramel sweetness with only a faint suggestion of citrus. Taste has a marmalade-y mix of orange and lemon citrus hops over a light caramel malt base. Soft bitterness in the finish featuring orange peels and grass. Has nice English malt aftertaste. Light bodied, good natural feeling carbonation. Pretty soft and subtle for an IPA, but the site classes this as an English Strong which I guess suits the beer a bit more. Malts are nice though, hops are in the right places, but not forceful enough to hold my interest. Itís subtlety might be itís strength depending on who you are.

Bottle,11C. Almost clear orange with a white head. Aroma of orange blossoms, earth, caramel, lemon, alcohol. Slightly sweet with biscuit, caramel, peach, then quite earthy bitterness and a dry finish with some wood notes. A little too much carbonation, but perhaps thatís part of the Belgian influence on what remains a very English beer. Lots to like, but the alcohol sticks out too much.

A clear golden colored beer, with a small foamy white head. The aroma of hops with fruits like citrus and orange. The taste of sweet fruits, bitter hops and some caramel. The aftertaste is sweet and fresh bitter.

50cl bottle @Delrium Cafe, Hoppy Loft, Brussels. Fruity, peachy, herbal and fresh aromas. Pours golden, little hazy, with nice white head, creamy, frothy, good lacing. Light body, a bit oily in texture, average carbonation. Taste is fruity, smooth, mild bitter. Balanced. Some liquorice aftertaste and some more bitterness. Nice and enjoyable.

Bottle from Ninaís Mini Mart, Edinburgh
Orange amber...clear...frothy white head...dissipates to thin layer..some lacing
Aroma - light aroma of citrus orange zest...some orange...sweet light caramel malts.....slight alcohol tang on nose.
Taste - Orange citrus...orange zest..bit of peach...bitter orange marmalade..juicy sweet caramel malts...slight toffee...touch of toasted malt...background light bitter zesty hops...alcohol noticeable but reasonably masked....not a bitter IPA more emphasis on fruits..
Palate - medium carb from bottle...medium body...bit oily sticky texture. Finish as main flavour with increased zesty orange bitterness in the moderate linger....some warming alcohol
Overall - I would give it a good swirl to get rid of some of the carbonation. A nice quite orangey IPA with a dask of marmalade and a light bitter orange zest finish.

Bottle (in NZ), pours a crystal clear amber with a large pillowy white head. Caramal note on the nose, slightly medicinal, with peppery hops. Plenty of alcohol on the palate, along with those peppery hops. Hops dominate the malt in fact, with just a hint of toffee in the background. The finish is short, though well bittered.
