Bottle. Large creamy beige head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Light cloudy amber color. Aroma of fruit, bread, citrus, apricot, grain, alcohol and mild spice. Some underlying caramel notes as well. Medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation and mild alcoholic texture. Moderated sweet and bitter flavor in balance. Dry bitter spicy finish. Quit nice.

TheGrandMaster (2313) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - SEP 29, 2008
Bottle (in NZ), pours a amber colour with a off white foamy white head. Caramal malt aroma, with spicy hop notes. The hops are peppery on the palate, the malt is fruity at first and then gets more complex - medicinal, aniseed, and nutty. The finish is just a touch cloying. It’s a good barley wine, but I’m not sure it does enough to make me want more.

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy brown with a chalk white head. Light hoppy aroma with a vague spice note. Flavour is quite spiced and with a hops note swept through the palate. Mild liqourice note mixed with dense caramel malt flavour and a spiced bitterness. Light liqourice into the far finish.

jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - APR 15, 2008
Bottle@Home. Tangerine aroma with a hint of iodine. Light hazy, orange colored, beige head, good lace. Light sweet start but very sweet finish, iodine, tangerine, nutmeg, vanilla, dough and laurel, sticky mouthfeel. Maybe I was expecting too much but what I got in the glass was rather disappointing. Too sweet, too few hops and a complexity of flavors that’s not in balance.

DonMagi (5599) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 19, 2007
Bottle from open all hours. Looks like a belgian blonde ale and is very similar in the nose. Aroma is peachy sweet pale malts, slightly buttery, no alc, grassy hay hop notes. Taste is similar very drinkable with a good mouthfeel though thinner in the body than expected. Spicey finish. Nice beer not sure what catagory it fits under though?

Bottle - Beautiful slightly hazy amber body, lasting creamy off white head; Very deep intense and elegant nose, beautifully balance between flowery fresh and caramel deep aromas; Huge body that is actually to full and to caramel sweet, it has a little hoppy bitterness but the spicy sweetness is way overpowering; Very long spicy finish, again a little to full. Very nice beer with a super elegant nose that doesnt fit the rest of the beer (or is it the other way around)
